Leidos' Defense Systems Sensor Innovation Portfolio is seeking a Low Band Surveillance Software Lead and Control Account Manager to join our team in Huntsville, AL. Primary responsibility is team leadership serving as a CAM (Control Account Manager) for the overall software and secondary responsibility is providing individual software development contributions. This role will require extensive and frequent, external communication with the customer, as well as internally with Senior Leadership.

Primary Responsibilities.

  • Act as a CAM for an established software engineering team, managing cost, staffing needs, and schedule to the program plan
  • Ensure compliance with internal software quality policy, processes, and procedures as well as support corporate audits
  • Working closely with a team of sub-system software leads to coordinate software development and integration tasking priorities to ensure system success
  • Lead the overall software development for multiple HIL (Hardware Integration Labs) and SILs (Software Integration Labs) that will be used internally and by the customer to develop and test software payloads before deploying the sensor system
  • Provide weekly status updates to internal leadership and customer leadership
  • Lead weekly software tag up discussions with the integrated software team
  • Manage and oversee the development of system software documentation and overall software deployment strategy to dedicated hardware
  • Participate and contribute to on-going software design discussions

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree and 12-15 years of recent relevant experience or Masters degree and 10-13 years of recent relevant experience.
  • Basic understanding of radar systems and/or integrated sensor systems
  • Experience leading and conducting technical design reviews and presenting technical reports and materials to customer teams
  • Strong knowledge of C++ and object-oriented design principles
  • Strong software engineering background with experience in defining and enforcing engineering best practices, including:

    • configuration management
    • coding standards
    • code reviews,
    • testability
    • design for reusability
  • Experience developing, implementing, and maintaining APIs and network ICDs for custom hardware electronics
  • Demonstrated experience working with a team of talented technical employees to develop and integrate software solutions into dedicated computer hardware
  • Experience supporting system integration and test activities to support verification of system level requirements
  • Must be a US citizen, possess and be able to maintain an active secret clearance.
  • Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL, area

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with HPC (High Performance Computing) hardware such as distributed computing, CUDA enabled GPUS, high-speed networks, and high throughput I/O is beneficial

Pay Range:

Pay Range $126,100.00 - $227,950.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
