Your New Role and Responsibilities
The Security Services Manager plays a critical cross-functional role in driving the delivery, oversight, and continuous improvement of security operations, engineering, and governance functions across the program. Working to the Chief Engineer, you will oversee routine operations of the Security Services Tower working closely with each team's Technical Lead. This role is responsible for the performance and coordination within the Security Services Tower and works laterally across all delivery towers and functions to ensure alignment, collaboration, and strategic integration.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership & Team Development: Lead and manage Security Engineers and GRC professionals, overseeing performance, coaching, career development, and training. Support workforce planning and recruitment to meet BAU and project needs, ensuring capability aligns with evolving priorities.
- Workload, Governance & Quality Oversight: Coordinate Security Services Tower activities and deliverables, ensuring prioritisation, scheduling, and alignment with program goals and governance frameworks. Oversee quality assurance of all security artefacts, products, and services.
- Process, Tools & Continuous Improvement: Maintain effective tools, methodologies, and repeatable processes for delivering secure, supportable ICT and cyber solutions. Drive continuous improvement and innovation across people, process, and technology, exploring R&D and emerging cyber capabilities.
- Cross-Functional & Business Engagement: Collaborate with technical leaders and business units to design and deliver complex solutions. Work closely with other service towers to embed security early in solution design and operations, and liaise with corporate functions (HR, Finance, Quality, Commercial) to align with broader enterprise needs.
- Security Operations & Incident Support: Contribute to security incident response by coordinating technical teams and communication channels, ensuring timely and consistent stakeholder updates across internal and external audiences.
About You
- Proven Leadership Experience: Demonstrated technical and team leadership in operational, client-facing, and collaborative roles, including within matrixed environments.
- ITIL Process Expertise: Practical experience with formal ITIL Configuration, Change, and Release Management processes, including associated reporting.
- Cyber Security Exposure: Background in Cyber Security Operations or supporting services is preferred, though not essential.
- Customer-Focused Approach: Strong commitment to customer service and delivering high-quality outcomes.
- Team Leadership: Experience successfully leading teams across varied functions and organisational structures.

This role does require the successful applicant to be an Australian Citizen, hold a NV-1 level security clearance and be able to uplift to NV-2.
