Leidos is seeking an experienced Radio Spectrum Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting radio spectrum analysis to monitor, manage, and optimize the use of radio frequencies. This role involves identifying and resolving interference issues, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and providing analytical support for spectrum management initiatives..

Primary Responsibilities

The successful Analyst will perform the following:

  • Conduct measurements and analysis of radio frequency spectrum usage.
  • Utilize spectrum analyzers and other RF measurement tools to gather data.
  • Analyze data to identify patterns, trends, and potential interference sources.
  • Prepare reports and presentations on findings and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with spectrum regulations.
  • Assist in the allocation and management of radio frequencies.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to internal teams and stakeholders.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • Four to eight years of experience in radio frequency analysis or a related area.
  • Strong understanding of RF principles, propagation, and modulation techniques.
  • Proficiency in using spectrum analysis software and RF measurement tools.
  • Familiarity with national and international spectrum regulations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with creating and analyzing relevant documentation, reports, and briefings.
  • Working knowledge of the Microsoft suite of office productivity tools (O365/M365)
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Candidate selected will be subject to a Government Public Trust security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to the customer's information. US Citizenship is required.
  • Candidate will be required to attend in-person activities within the Washington DC metropolitan area.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with data visualization tools.
  • Project management experience.
  • Knowledge of emerging technologies in wireless communications.
  • Prior experience supporting a Federal Customer.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $85,150.00 - $153,925.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
