Leidos' Defense Systems - Platform Integration Facility is seeking a Quality Inspector to join our growing team. In this role, you'll ensure electro-mechanical parts and assembled hardware meet strict quality standards in accordance with drawings, specifications, and procedures. You'll also play a key part in supporting documentation, troubleshooting, and non-conformance tracking-directly impacting the performance and reliability of mission-critical defense systems.
This is a fast-paced environment where attention to detail, self-direction, and teamwork are essential.
Primary Responsibilities
- Inspect piece parts, components, and electro-mechanical assemblies (e.g., cable assemblies, structural hardware).
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, test plans, and assembly instructions.
- Perform material verification and inspections, generating inspection reports and documentation.
- Identify and document non-conformances and assist in initiating root cause analysis.
- Use standard measurement equipment (micrometers, calipers, multimeters, etc.) for inspection and calibration.
- Support acceptance testing and generate test documentation.
- Assist with receiving inspection, documentation control, and calibration processes.

- High School Diploma/GED required.
- 3-5 years of experience in a quality control environment under ISO9001/AS9100 or in DoD, Aerospace, or Automotive manufacturing.
- Proficient with standard inspection tools: micrometers, calipers, multimeters, etc.
- Able to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
- Experience generating inspection documentation (inspection reports, bubble prints, Certificates of Conformance, NCRs).
- Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Strong communication and collaboration skills within multi-disciplinary teams.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Must currently hold or be eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience inspecting complex aerospace hardware and supporting Material Review Board (MRB) processes.
- Familiarity with AS9102 First Article Inspection and Acceptance Data Pack review/creation.
- Knowledge of AS5553 counterfeit prevention practices.
- Experience in handling non-conforming materials and writing/processing NCRs.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 35 lbs.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $50,050.00 - $90,475.00
The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
