Leidos is anticipating a new contract award with the Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Atlantic providing engineering and integration testing support for Theater Medical Information Program (TMIP) and Operational Medical (OpMed) applications. This position will focus on the technical support services to conduct product verification and validation of the TMIP and OpMed suites of applications to ensure that products meet specified requirements for integration testing, performance testing, security testing, build verification testing, compliance testing and more.

Specific knowledge and understanding of TMIP-J applications and core systems is a requirement.

Position Description

The Quality Control Specialist is responsible for hands-on testing and validation of TMIP-J applications. Duties include integration testing, performance testing, security testing, Section 508 testing, access control testing, benchmark testing, build verification testing, compliance testing, configuration testing, data and database integrity testing, installation testing, risk-based testing, smoke test, recovery testing, unit testing, usability acceptance testing, manual testing, automated testing, and defect tracking.

  • Support direct communication and collaboration with ALL members of the Team, including issue management support, clarification and prioritization of production onsite tasks, reports and site summaries.
  • May communicate with parties external to the organization (e.g., sub-contractors, vendors, government, etc.).
  • Work to influence project/team leaders regarding solution test design, process and/or approaches.
  • Provide System Software and Engineering Analysis for the review of system design specifications.
  • Work to achieve key project/program objectives and deliverables.
  • Duties may include defining and implementing standards, methods, and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision, accuracy, and reliability of TMIP-J products.
  • Analyze post-delivery reports and feedback for trends and recommend actions to correct procedural, product, or process deficiencies.
  • Regularly employ ingenuity and creativity to develop new technical solutions and systems to achieve functional objectives.
  • Resolve highly complex problems using technical knowledge, conceptualizing, reasoning and interpretation.

Required Skills

  • US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Security Clearance (contract requirement)
  • Ten (10) years' professional experience solving technical problems.
  • Five (5) years of experience with software development and testing to include deployment and validation of the developed software solution.
  • Three (3) years of this experience in support of defense health requirements.
  • Trained in the skills and techniques related to engineering and/or software design/maintenance.
  • Possess a practical understanding of engineering concepts.
  • Experience working in a DevSecOps or containerized software development and container orchestrations within a DoD cloud hosting environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in cloud hosted environments such as NIWC Atlantic Data Center and Cloud Hosting Services (DC2HS), USMC Hybrid Cloud Services, USAF CloudOne Services, NIWC Pacific Cosmos Services, or Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Digital Networks & Applications (DNA) Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud Hosting services.
  • Experience with Rapid Assess and Incorporate Software Engineering version 2.0 (RAISE 2.0).
  • Experience with product/service and process verification and validation
  • Excellent communications skills, with strong writing skills and attention to detail
  • Technical architecture background and experience

Education Required

Minimum High School diploma/GED, related military experience or trade/industrial school graduate or equivalent

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of TMIP-J Systems and architecture.
  • Experience with AHLTA-T, TC2 applications.
  • Experience with the creation of Test Plans, Test Procedures, Test Cases, Defect Documentation, participation in Defect Review Boards and providing Technical and Functional Recommendations for Defect Resolution.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $57,850.00 - $104,575.00
