Your New Role and Responsibilities

This position plays a key role in the Land & Sea Systems line of business, leading a suite of Tactical Data Link (TDL) Network services projects in partnership with Defence.

You will be responsible for the successful delivery of services, cultivating strong relationships with stakeholders and customers, and ensuring alignment with contracted requirements. The role also contributes to the pursuit of future growth opportunities in the TDL domain.

Key Responsibilities

  • Service Delivery Leadership: Responsible to the VP, L&SS for overseeing all aspects of service delivery and guiding the program team through planning, execution, governance and growth of TDL services contracts.
  • Strategic & Commercial Mindset: Applies a thoughtful and forward-looking commercial approach to build lasting business opportunities and support the delivery of transformational capability for the Australian Defence Force.
  • Purposeful & Inclusive Leadership: Supports an environment of trust, respect and continuous improvement; empowers others to contribute and succeed while delivering outcomes under pressure.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Navigates complex stakeholder environments with empathy and clarity, building strong relationships across a range of seniority levels.
  • Collaborative & Influential: Communicates openly and effectively, encourages shared decision-making, and brings people together to achieve common goals.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Tertiary Qualification: A bachelor-level qualification in a relevant discipline, or equivalent experience and education. Project Management certification (AIPM, PMI or equivalent) is desirable.
  • Understanding of Defence: Sound knowledge of Defence and the Defence Industry, with experience working in a CASG System Program Office (SPO) across Land, Sea, or Air domains. Familiarity with Tactical Data Link technology and frameworks such as ASDEFCON, DSS or ICTPA is beneficial.
  • People-Centred Leadership: Demonstrated ability to guide and support teams with strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Relationship Building: Proven ability to collaborate and engage effectively with a wide range of stakeholders to build trusted and productive partnerships.
  • Problem Solving & Attention to Detail: Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills, with the ability to address complex issues and ensure accuracy in delivery.

This role does require the successful applicant to be an Australian Citizen and hold a NV-1 level security clearance.
