Leidos Defense System is seeking a talented Project Manager to support Defense and Civil Space Systems in the Space Division. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Leidos Dynetics provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.

As a core member of the team, you will play a valuable part in supporting and executing the Universal Stage Adapter (USA) program for NASA. You will be required to support multiple tasks in parallel, productively contribute to and lead team environments, and communicate effectively to management, coworkers, and customers. You must also be self-motivated and highly organized with a focus on managing customer expectations with a constant goal of generating high quality products that exceed stakeholder expectations. In this role you will work closely with the integrated product team (IPT) lead and act as the control account manager (CAM) for the Assembly, Integration, and Test group.

Primary Responsibilities
The Project Manager will have a key impact on program execution and will:
- Directly support program management office in successful execution of all aspects of the program(s) including cost, schedule, procurement, integration, resource management.
- Establish and maintain Control Account budgets and schedules.
- Support forecasting completion costs for responsible cost accounts.
- Define the tasks and the sequencing of the schedule for optimizing the accomplishment of the work scope.
- Work with technical leads to define and evaluate resources and schedule required to complete defined work.
- Assure the scheduled activities for the Control Account have a realistic duration and performance logic.
- Proactively manage the personnel performing the Control Account detailed scope of work.
- Review all resources and cost type charging to the Control Account and assure its accuracy.
- Prepare Control Account Variance Analysis Reports that clearly address cause, impact, and corrective action.
- Prepare Estimates to Completion for remaining Control Account and work package work scope.
- Provide forecast dates for accomplishing activities and milestones in the Control Account Schedule.
- Lead or participate in Make/Buy decisions.
- Status all work scheduled within the Control Account.
- Participate in applicable IPT meetings to assure technical integration.
- Preparation and/or review of variances, exceptions and/or waivers to requirements.
- Work in a team environment, oversee team status on progress and issues, and elevate as needed for support.
Basic Qualifications
- BS degree in Engineering, Business, or Finance from an accredited school and a minimum of four (4) years of direct experience, or a MS degree from an accredited school and two (2) years of direct experience.
- Experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
- Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills, be able to work in a team, and develop cooperative relationships.
- Ability to track multiple tasks and prioritize work independently.
- Self-motivation and quick learner to adapt to the broad array of subjects and issues encountered.
- Experience with supply chain management and ability to work with suppliers to help them meet both hardware and non-hardware deliverable requirements.
- Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or be willing to relocate.
- Must be a US Citizen.
Preferred Qualifications
- A working knowledge and experience with space hardware procurement or program management.
- Project Engineering experience/background or a desire to learn project engineering.
- Minimum 2 years of experience with Earned Value Management (EVM).

Pay Range:
Pay Range $72,150.00 - $130,425.00
The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
