Description

We are seeking a strategic and experienced Senior Program Manager to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex programs that align with enterprise-level objectives. This role is responsible for managing resources, scope, budget, and schedules to ensure successful completion of program goals. The Senior Program Manager will work closely with task and functional leaders, subcontractors, vendors, and support personnel to coordinate efforts and deliver impactful results. This position also carries Profit and Loss (P&L) accountability and plays a critical role in shaping functional strategies and driving operational excellence.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead strategic programs from initiation through execution, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and customer requirements
  • Manage program scope, budget, timelines, risks, resources, and quality to ensure successful delivery
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including executive leadership, clients, subcontractors, and cross-functional teams
  • Recommend and implement new tools, processes, and standards to improve program execution and operational efficiency
  • Analyze program performance through systematic evaluations and implement corrective actions where necessary
  • Ensure alignment across multiple functional areas and influence acceptance of new practices or approaches
  • Lead change management initiatives and drive process improvements within the program and across the organization
  • Provide input to strategic planning and business development initiatives
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior project or program managers, including reviewing work and delegating responsibilities
  • Maintain accountability for financial performance, reporting, and resource management across the program portfolio

Basic Qualifications

  • TS/SCI w/ Poly Clearance is required
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Management, or a related discipline
  • 12-15 years of relevant program or project management experience (or 10-13 years with a Master's degree)
  • Demonstrated experience managing large, complex programs with significant business or customer impact
  • Proven track record of leading multidisciplinary teams and driving results in high-stakes environments
  • Expertise in:
    • Program and project management
    • Program evaluation and implementation
    • Project planning and proposal development
    • Change management and process improvement
    • Resource and risk management
    • Strong communication skills with the ability to interface with executive leadership and influence stakeholders
  • Demonstrated experience with P&L responsibility and managing to financial targets
  • Ability to develop and implement scalable solutions across business functions

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP (Project Management Professional) or PgMP certification
  • Lean Six Sigma, Agile, or SAFe certifications
  • Experience working in highly regulated industries (e.g., defense, aerospace, government contracting)
  • Expertise in writing and managing complex project or program proposals
  • Familiarity with enterprise project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Jira, Primavera)
  • Proven success influencing senior leaders and leading organizational transformation initiatives
  • Active security clearance (if required by contract or customer)

Pay Range:

Pay Range $112,450.00 - $203,275.00
