Description

Leidos is looking for a dynamic Program Manager, contingent upon contract award, who is responsible for the strategic oversight and performance of large complex IT program with Transportation.

In this role, you will ensure all technical and business work is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will direct IT support for transportation projects, aligning services with the Volpe Center's mission and the objectives of partner agencies, including the FAA and FRA. This position drives innovation optimizes resources across tasks, and ensures the success of complex, high-impact programs that advance the future of transportation.

Candidates must be US Citizens be able to work full time on-site in Cambridge, MA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the principal point of contact for all contractor-related activities under this IT program.
  • Oversee and manage all technical and business work to ensure quality, timeliness, and budget compliance.
  • Strategically direct IT support services for transportation projects, aligning with Volpe Center and partner agency objectives.
  • Manage overall program performance, including allocation of resources across multiple tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and guidance related to transportation systems and functions.
  • Facilitate communication and coordination with partner agencies such as the FAA and FRA.
  • Drive initiatives that advance transportation innovation and support the Volpe Center mission.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a business-related field, IT, or Engineering.
  • Minimum of 15 years of program management experience in transportation systems programs.
  • In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and regulations applicable to transportation systems.
  • Prior experience working with the US DOT Volpe Center or similar transportation-focused organizations.
  • Strong leadership, strategic planning, and resource management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex programs, including budgeting, scheduling, and team coordination.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience managing IT services for transportation programs.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Proven track record of advancing transportation innovation through program management.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $148,850.00 - $269,075.00
