Leidos' Defense Systems Colorado Manufacturing Facility is seeking a Production Technician to join our team at our Colorado Springs, CO location. The ideal candidate will need to have experience in programming, setup, and operation of a variety of machine tools including Water Jet, Blankets and Bonding.

Primary Responsibilities
- Must be capable of reading engineering drawings and CAD models.
- Experience in setting up and operating various machine tools, including water jets, blankets, and bonding equipment.
- Proven experience in manufacturing significant aerospace components using exotic materials.
- Applicants must be able to work on diverse projects in a fast-paced, ever-changing R&D environment with minimal supervision.

Basic Qualifications
- High school diploma o/GED with at least 2 years of experience in precision machining experience, specifically in operating Water Jet and Sawing machinery.
- Applicants must be physically capable of lifting at least 35 pounds without assistance.
- Must be flexible and willing to work overtime as needed.
- The role requires full-time availability, with a schedule of four days per week, consisting of 10-hour shifts on the first shift.
- Must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance OR meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in manufacturing complex aerospace components from exotic materials, such as bonding and blanket material.
- Comprehensive understanding of all established production protocols and must follow them carefully. This attention to detail ensures that each step of the process is executed with precision, contributing to overall efficiency and quality in production.
