Leidos' Defense Systems Colorado Manufacturing Facility is seeking a Production Manager to join our team supporting a stand-alone manufacturing facility performing work on a hypersonic weapon system as well as other DOD and aerospace applications. As part of the site leadership team, the Production Manager will have the opportunity to work with a collaborative team to support our nation's war fighters. Agility, flexibility, and creativity will be necessary to successfully navigate engineering and production.

Primary Responsibilities
- Manage and lead a team of machinists and/or production technicians.
- Maintain shop organization and 5S, performing weekly 5S audits.
- Brief team in daily morning meeting on status of production jobs.
- Work with the production control team to understand deliverables to support on time delivery.
- Identify production roadblocks and escalate to appropriate teams.
- Hold team accountable to adhering to the written production processes.
- Identify and support execution of continuous improvement projects.
- Identify and escalate risks in the production processes.
- Maintain department performance metrics.
- Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance OR meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with at least 5 years of manufacturing experience with increasing levels of responsibility. In lieu of a degree, a HS diploma/GED with at least 10 years of experience will be considered.
- Must have prior supervisory experience.
- Experience with machining processes.
- Experience with MRP/ERP systems.
- Understanding of GD&T.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Products, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications
- BS degree in engineering, logistics, or business.
- Lean manufacturing experience with Six Sigma certification.
- Prior experience in Deltek Costpoint.
- Secret Security Clearance.
