Your New Role and Responsibilities

Working in a fast paced high volume environment, this role will be responsible to design and estimate (effort/skills, time, material) solutions for both customer requests for quotes and Leidos proactive proposals. Working within our Civil Digital Modernisation growth team, you will lead requirements gathering and validation, solution and operational design, inputs to estimating across both project and on-going delivery including skills and effort, time and material needed. Additionally supporting post proposal clarifications and negotiations.

Responsibilities

  • Design and estimate technical solutions for customer RFQs and proactive proposals, including effort, skills, time, and materials.
  • Lead requirements gathering, validation, and solution/operational design within high-volume, fast-paced environments.
  • Provide input to project and ongoing delivery estimates across hybrid environments, considering skills, timelines, and resourcing needs.
  • Support post-proposal activities such as clarifications and negotiations with both customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Civil Digital Modernisation teams to align solutions with customer strategies and Leidos business objectives.

About You

  • Proven experience in solution architecture/design within complex hybrid environments, including multi-cloud and secure, multi-classification systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to respond to RFPs and develop proactive proposals aligned with frameworks such as the Australian Government Architecture (AGA) or TOGAF.
  • Strong expertise across enterprise IT domains including service management, end user services, networking, computing, and cybersecurity.
  • Relevant certifications such as AWS, Azure, GCP, Oracle Cloud, ITIL, or SIAM.
  • Experience with modern delivery practices and frameworks including DevSecOps, Agile, CI/CD, SRE, IaC, and architectures driven by data, events, or AI/ML.

This role does require the successful applicant to be an Australian Citizen, hold a Baseline level security clearance and be able to upgrade to NV-1.
