Description

Leidos Chief Information Office, reporting through our Digital Modernization Sector, is looking for an Oracle EPM Developer to join our Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) team. This team plays a key role in designing, developing, and enhancing our enterprise planning, reporting, and financial consolidation solutions deployed on Oracle EPM SaaS. The Oracle EPM environment supports over 800 users across Leidos and serves as a mission-critical platform for performance management, finance, and accounting professionals supporting their planning, forecasting, consolidation and reporting needs.

Location: Ideally, we're looking for someone to do this role from our Reston - VA location, but we will also consider 100% telecommute option for the right candidate.

Overview:

As an Oracle EPM Developer, you will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of EPM application components, including business rules, data integrations, metadata updates, forms, reports, and automation scripts. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high performance, scalability, and accuracy of our EPM solutions that support internal financial planning and external reporting requirements.

In this role, you will support the design, development, and ongoing maintenance of Oracle EPM Cloud applications. These applications include Planning, Financial Consolidation and Close (FCC), Narrative Reporting (NR), Profitability & Cost Management (EPCM) and Account Reconciliations (ARCs).

Development Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop EPM Cloud artifacts including:

    • Business Rules and Groovy Scripts (using Calculation Manager)
    • Data Forms, Dashboards, Smart Lists, Validations, and Task Lists
    • Reports using Oracle Narrative Reporting and Management Reporting
  • Translate business requirements into technical solutions in collaboration with FP&A, Consolidations, and Accounting teams.
  • Build and maintain data integrations using Data Management, including mappings, data load rules, and automation scripts (EPM Automate / REST APIs).
  • Configure and manage metadata across dimensions and applications to support changes in reporting and forecasting structures.
  • Develop and document application enhancements and configuration updates following structured change control and testing processes.
  • Evaluate and implement new features released in Oracle EPM Cloud monthly updates to enhance application functionality, improve performance, and align with evolving business needs.

Support Responsibilities:

  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of data integrations by monitoring load processes, reconciling data, and resolving any discrepancies across systems (e.g., GL to EPM).
  • Support and validate forecasting, budgeting, and close cycles, ensuring alignment with the published FP&A and Accounting calendars.
  • Respond to user inquiries related to data discrepancies, calculation logic, report issues, and system behavior; provide training or documentation as needed.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with web forms, business rules, integrations, and security configurations; escalate to Oracle Support or technical resources where appropriate.
  • Validate user access and prepare artifacts supporting internal audit controls and compliance requirements.
  • Manage deployment of system enhancements through change management processes, including creation, impact assessment, testing, and implementation.
  • Maintain a high level of system availability and user satisfaction by proactively monitoring application health and coordinating maintenance activities.
  • Partner with technical team members for coordination of patch cycles, regression testing and disaster recovery simulations.
  • Participate in EPM team's on-call support rotation to ensure timely response and resolution of critical issues during off-hours and financial close cycles.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field, with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Minimum 4 years of hands-on development experience with Oracle EPM Planning and Financial Consolidation and Close (FCC), including building business rules and form development.
  • Experience with Oracle Narrative Reporting and/or Management Reporting is required.
  • Experience with Enterprise Profitability Cost Management (EPCM) and allocations is a plus.
  • Experience with Oracle Data Management or Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with government accounting standards or the government contracting industry is strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of financial planning, forecasting, and management reporting processes.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with both technical teams and business users, including finance and FP&A stakeholders.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a structured and detail-oriented approach.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences and work effectively across functional and organizational boundaries.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks/projects in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Demonstrates a customer service mindset and contributes positively to a high-performance team culture.

The Oracle EPM team at Leidos is a highly experienced and innovative group of technical developers, application subject matter experts, and system analysts. With deep expertise across the Oracle EPM Cloud platform, the team is known for developing scalable, efficient, and forward-thinking solutions that align with evolving business needs.

This seasoned team is responsible for the end-to-end development, support, and enhancement of enterprise-wide planning, reporting, and financial consolidation applications. Their work ensures the delivery of timely, accurate, and audit-compliant financial and managerial data, enabling effective decision-making and supporting critical processes such as SEC reporting and corporate forecasting and budgets.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $104,650.00 - $189,175.00
