Leidos is in search of a Facility Operations Manager who will support the Future Flight Service Program (FFSP) at the Fort Worth, Texas Facility. FFSP is an air traffic program that collects, processes and delivers aeronautical and meteorological information to promote safe and expeditious flight throughout the continental United States including Hawaii and Puerto Rico.

Operations Manager Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for operational and service outcomes of the Fort Worth, Texas facility.
  • Identify procedures, operations, and equipment necessary for the success of FFSP.
  • Service level performance, cost of facility operations, facility status, planning and directing all activities within the Fort Worth, TX facility.
  • Directs all aspects of day-to-day FFSP operations to include the integration of support functions with operations, setting staffing priorities and accomplishing required facility reporting.
  • Coordinating employee recruitment, selection, training, promotion, work assignments, recognition, and disciplinary action in a unionized environment.
  • Responsible for facility operational compliance with Federal Aviation Administration and Leidos Flight Services requirements.

Direct the internal operations of the Fort Worth facility to include:

  • Manage in a unionized environment- to include administration of the collective bargaining agreement and maintaining a positive relationship with union representatives.
  • Assign specialists to shift schedules to maintain the continuity of operations.
  • Assign supervisors to shifts and setting the work schedules for the support staff.
  • Assure employees are fairly assigned to shift schedules and overtime.
  • Develop and maintain working relationship with HRBP, QA and other facility management.
  • Monitor facilities and equipment condition and status, report issues impacting operations to area facilities engineer.

Qualifications:

  • Requires a BA/BS and 8+ years of relevant experience supervising or managing Flight Service operations at an FFSP facility, or Masters with 6+ years, or prior relevant experience.
  • 4+ years of experience supervising or leading teams or projects.
  • US citizenship required.
  • Ability to obtain Public Trust security clearance.
  • Current or previous Operations Manager or Air Operations Associate Manager with FFSP is required.
  • Current or previous certification in all FFSP operational positions is required.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills required.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $112,450.00 - $203,275.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
