Job Summary
The selected individual will serve in a customer facing role, serving as the primary interface between Leidos and two operational sites supporting a critical high value, no fail mission. This role is of critical importance to maintain situational awareness of the operational systems, serving as the liaison between geographically separated operational centers and engineering development and sustainment groups. Regular, daily interaction with the Leidos Operations Lead and weekly coordination with the Leidos Contract Program Management Office is required in this high visibility role, necessitating strong verbal and written communication to ensure full transparency and constant situational awareness of the deployed mission operations.
Responsibilities
The selected individual will be responsible for:
- Coordinating activities between the Leidos technical engineering staff and the Government Operations Team,
- Trouble ticket synchronization between the Customer Operations center ticketing system and the Leidos engineering tools, and providing daily maintenance status for all open tickets.
- Delivering threat policy orchestration to Operations, twice weekly, ensuring continuous updates maintain operational system security requirements.
- Participating as a non-voting member of the Government Operations Defect Review Board (DRB) and Configuration Control Board (CCB).
- Participating in the weekly Government Incident Triage Meeting, providing input to the meeting, and reporting back to the Operations Lead on all items that will become Discrepancy Reports (DRs).
- Participating in the weekly Government Information Assurance Vulnerability Alert (IAVA) status review meeting, delivering the cadence of IAVAs to ensure secure mission operations.
- Serving as the primary Point of Contact (POC) to the Government Operations Team for program related matters, ensure daily coordinating with the Operations Lead.
- Coordinating visitation between operational sites and contractor spaces.
- Keeping abreast of any and all issues or concerns emanating from the user and stakeholder community, sharing that information with the Operations Lead.
- Maintaining regular communication with the Government Site Management and technical support staff and the engineering and support staff assisting with operational support of the sites.
- Engineering and supporting staff coordination and communication across the teams required to support any issue or request from the field to achieve the successful end result.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in a technical field and at least eight (8) years of prior relevant experience. Additional experience may be substituted for a degree.
- Must have at least seven (7) years of experience providing support for users and systems in Information Technology and/or information security environments.
- Must have at least (5) years of experience working in a direct customer facing role, with demonstrated strength in verbal and written communications.
- Must have at least two (4) years of experience working with trouble ticketing systems, working in a Tier 1/2/3 environment to escalate issues found in operations and working on problem resolution.
- Must have experience helping users, optimizing system operations, and monitoring IT enterprise systems.
- Must have a solid understanding of advanced security protocols and standards, and information security principles and practices.
- Must have in-depth experience with software and security architectures.
- Must possess strong analytic abilities and must be meticulous and careful in their work.
- Must be an independent thinker capable of working proficiently independently as well as within a team.
- Must be committed to adopting and adhering to best practices including compliance with maintenance windows and change control procedures.
- Must be able to respond to operational issues while off duty, on an on-call basis.
- Some travel may be required.
- Clearance Required: Must have TS/SCI with Polygraph up front. This is firm.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in an Operations center environment with advanced security architectures.
- Experience with Network Security Technologies (e.g. Multiple Domain, PKI, SSP, IAVAs).
- Experience participating in CCBs and DRBs, with demonstrated experience achieving issue resolution.
- Experience with a variety of switches, firewalls, and network load balancers in an enterprise network environment.
- Experience in a System Administration role supporting software configuration management and development environments.

Pay Range $104,650.00 - $189,175.00
