Leidos has an opening for a Network Support Specialist at Scott Air Force Base, IL.

PROGRAM SUMMARY:
Our customer, the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) provides, operates, and assures command and control of the Defense Information System Network (DISN) services to the warfighter, national leaders and other mission and coalition partners across the department of Defense (DoD) and national security organizations. Our Network Operations Center (NOC) team provides 24x7 global DoD information network (DoDIN) operations and incident management support.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provide technical operational support for Defense Information Systems Network assets.

• Use network management, configuration management and asset management tools to monitor and control network.
• Log into associated hardware to obtain statuses, perform quality checks.
• Maintain logs and records associated with reported problems or situations.
• Execute all reporting functions and data input associated with network management.
• Monitor security posture of network(s); report suspected violations to designated authority.
• All phases of service ordering in DISA Direct Storefront.
• Training: Telecommunications seminars, Ad-hoc virtual training, managing DISA GLOBAL training website, Support Service Activations.
• Support ordering, installation, modification, configuration, testing, servicing, and troubleshooting of network infrastructure consisting of various SIPR, NIPR, and transport technology equipment.
• Record, assess, track, monitor, and escalate trouble tickets created and escalated for incident/problem resolution for DSF infrastructure.
• Manage mission partners by becoming the subject matter expert for DISA Storefront application, billing issues, and related request fulfillment/acquisition issues in a timely, efficient, and knowledgeable manner.
• Review, update, maintain basic telecommunications and information technology terms with respect to the DISA Request Fulfillment process, associate documents (TSRs, TSOs, completion reports), and circulars.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
• High School diploma and 2-4 years overall related experience.
• Ability to obtain DoD 8570 certification at IAT level II, Security+ CE.
• Knowledge of information technology terms, implementing, administering, performing testing, and analyzing network systems.
• Knowledge of IT networks, to include network appliances (e.g., routers, load balancers, domain name servers, firewalls).
• Familiarity with network services (BGP, OSPF, DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP, WAN, VPN, VLAN, VRF, etc).
• Familiarity in network engineering, problem management, and performance management.
• Broad knowledge of all Customer Advocacy tools (DISA Direct, WWOLS, TIBI, TCOSS, SNAP, etc.)
• Strong written and verbal communications, team building and collaboration skills
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
• Must be able to obtain an active DoD Secret Security Clearance .

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• ITIL certification.
• Working knowledge of Customer Care Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) ensures quality checks, coordination, and scheduling supported by the document are completed on time and adhere to established guidelines, procedures, and work plans.
• Understanding of the DISA Request Fulfillment process and associate documents (TSRs, TSOs, completion reports) and circulars.
• Knowledge of the Department of Defense, its policies, and hierarchy.
• Knowledge of DISA organizational structure and how different elements (DITCO, etc.) contribute to fulfilling mission partner TSR requirements.
• Network certifications such as but not limited to, Cisco Certifications (CCNA, CCNP, etc.), Microsoft certifications (MCSE, etc.), security certifications (Security + CE, etc.)

Pay Range:

Pay Range $44,850.00 - $81,075.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
