Description

Leidos is seeking an experienced Network Migration Lead to join our Defense Enclave Services (DES) team, who will support an extensive digital modernization program critical to Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) and Department of Defense (DoD) Fourth Estate Agencies (DAFAs).

The Network Migration Lead will oversee a team of network engineers and network administrators that are responsible for migrating DAFAs onto the DoDNet network.

Must be willing to commute to Ft. Meade, MD 2 days per week and require an active DOD Secret clearance.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple teams of network engineers and network administrators tasked with migrating DAFA networks to the modernized DISA DoDNet environment.
  • Provide thought leadership and mentoring to team of network engineers and network administrators, including frequent collaboration with the Network Engineering Lead and Project Managers.
  • Continually identify opportunities for improvement, including process improvements to help streamline, standardize, and accelerate the network migration process.
  • Enable secure network solutions to consolidate or migrate connectivity services under an enterprise service.
  • Partner with key stakeholders and technical experts to execute the migration plan and adapt to emerging or unexpected changes during the migration process.
  • Manage change requests and approved service interruptions (ASIs) associated with the network migration, continually seeking ways to minimize the impact on end users.
  • Coordinate allocation of network migration teams to DAFAs and sites based on team availability, characteristics of the network migration, and individual / team competencies.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and 8+ years of prior relevant experience or Master's degree with 6+ years of experience. Specific experience, education and training may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Network certification which shall meet or exceed a CCNA (comparable vender certification accepted upon review).
  • Experience managing teams of engineers, including mentoring and fostering communication and collaboration across the team.
  • Experience executing a migration plan to move circuits, network traffic, services, applications, or data between environments or to a commercial cloud provider.
  • Significant experience upgrading and LCR of network devices.
  • Expertise with common IT infrastructure networking in the areas of LAN, WAN, TCP/UDP, IPSec, VPN, Proxies, Routing(L2/L3), and Firewalls.
  • Experience working with two or more of the following network technologies: Cisco, Juniper, F5, Aruba, Palo Alto, Dell, Infoblox, Brocade, and Fortinet.
  • Able to work as part of a team to troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Current IAT Level II (or higher) Certification such as Security + or CISSP
  • Requires an active DOD Secret clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certified Cisco Network Professional (CCNP) or equivalent

Pay Range:

Pay Range $89,700.00 - $162,150.00
