Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer to design, configure, and maintain network systems that support critical SAP landscapes. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring optimal network performance and availability for SAP applications, collaborating with cross-functional IT teams to support business operations, security compliance, and disaster recovery initiatives.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Design, configure, and maintain network infrastructure supporting SAP systems.
  • Monitor network performance and implement tuning enhancements to optimize SAP application performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues impacting SAP applications.
  • Collaborate closely with SAP Basis Administrators to ensure seamless integration across platforms.
  • Manage network access controls, routing, firewall rules, and VLAN configurations relevant to SAP environments.
  • Ensure compliance with IT security policies and assist in audit readiness and response.
  • Document network configurations, topology diagrams, and operational procedures.
  • Provide network support for SAP system migrations, upgrades, and patch management.
  • Participate in disaster recovery planning, testing, and execution alongside cross-functional IT teams.

Basic Qualifications

  • TS/SCI w/ Poly Clearance is required
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and 4+ years of relevant experience, or Master's degree with 2+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience providing network engineering support includes planning, designing, and evaluating network components.
  • Ability to perform network needs assessments and provide specifications for network architecture.
  • Hands-on experience in the installation, monitoring, modification, testing, and servicing of network equipment.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve complex network-related issues.
  • Experience managing routing and switching, including protocols like BGP.
  • Proficiency in configuring and managing networking hardware (routers, switches, access points).
  • Working knowledge of load balancers and firewall configurations to optimize traffic and ensure security.
  • Experience with network management tools and techniques to support connectivity, security, and performance.
  • Understanding of network security practices, including threat detection and mitigation.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams and clients on project goals and technical solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong background in network architecture design, including developing end-to-end infrastructure solutions.
  • Experience evaluating and recommending new network technologies to improve system capabilities.
  • Proven track record of developing technical solutions that require collaboration and deep analysis.
  • Ability to work independently on high-impact projects or processes with minimal supervision.
  • Experience coaching or reviewing the work of junior network or technical staff.
  • Broad understanding of interdisciplinary technical domains outside of core networking.
  • Involvement in disaster recovery planning and technical audits.
  • Familiarity with supporting SAP environments from a networking perspective.
  • Experience with routing protocols and advanced load balancing strategies.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $72,150.00 - $130,425.00
