Description

The Civil Solutions Business Area within Leidos' Health & Civil Sector has an opening for the position of Mission Solutions Division Manager (MS DM), which carries the designation of VP. The MS DM will lead a highly diversified industry portfolio valued annually at $200M+. Mission Solutions will provide support to NASA, DOT (Department of Transportation), and various FAA programs including the FFSP (Future Flight Services Program), GEO-7 (7th Generation Geostationary Earth Orbit satellite for civil aviation), MSBRS (Mode S Beacon Replacement System modernizing the FAA's ATC infrastructure), and other management information systems services. The MS DM's primary focus is growth, innovation, and strategy in Space, FAA CNS (communication, navigation, and surveillance), weather and surface transportation domains.

This role will report directly to the Senior Vice President, Civil Solutions Business Area, and will be responsible for leading and sustaining operational excellence to meet or exceed all customer, employee engagement, programmatic, financial and new business commitments. The TS DM will establish short- and long-range strategies to establish a strong foundation of TS business capabilities and collaborate across the enterprise to apply proficiencies with entrance into new domains or industries.

The Mission Solutions DM will demonstrate strategic thinking by understanding "big picture" analysis both from the technological and business case perspectives for both new and existing market initiatives. The MS DM must demonstrate highly ethical performance and behavior that is conducive to professional growth, employee engagement, and continuous staff development.

Key Qualification Requirements:

  • Minimum of BA/BS degree and 15+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 13+ years of prior relevant experience is required and at least 12 years of leadership related experience to include leading teams and projects across multiple time zones and locations.
  • Successful track record with program execution and operational leadership with solid business acumen and sustained delivery excellence, leading multiple portfolios across Space, Aviation, Surface Transportation (or like industries with similar environments and requirements) with combined value or scaled value of $100M+.
  • Proven performance demonstrating leadership skills focusing on execution, people, and strategy.
  • Capability and demonstrated experience progressively developing strategies involving innovative solutions that connect multiple facets of a mission.
  • Passion for the mission(s) that have resulted in growth results, typically anchored by sense of urgency, passion, and collaboration.
  • Demonstrated experience connecting multifaceted components of a business such as space and aviation or similar environments, to develop and successfully influence the adoption of highly efficient and effective solutions (i.e. systems, integration, logistics, operations).
  • Demonstrated experience working in highly visible or volatile environments leading to expected business outcomes and results.
  • Strong customer-facing and relationship-building skills reflected in current and past experiences with program performance ratings.
  • Strong people leadership skills which may be reflected in positive employee engagement survey results.
  • Experience leading System Engineering, Software, Integration and Test teams.
  • Proposal and business development experience.
  • Ideal candidate will have experience working with NASA or the FAA, however, will consider experienced leadership traits that reflect successful ability to transition between industries and customers.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $216,800.00 - $348,750.00
