You will primarily be focused on leadership of electrical design and integration for the Enduring Shield ground based force protection system, but there are also opportunities to participate in design of electrical architectures and integrated systems for other mission-critical systems that include flight systems, sensors, ground vehicles, and space hardware.

Responsibilities include:

  • Guide subsystem leads including definition of technical direction and estimation of cost/schedule
  • Responsible for all COTS/MILCOTS electrical components including communication with outside vendors for COTS/MILCOTS solutions
  • Assist with manufacturing, test planning (functional and qualification testing)
  • Provide technical support for various review boards
  • Participate in proposal activities

Basic Qualifications:

  • Candidate must possess a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent degree from an ABET-accredited institution with 4+ years of experience or 2+ years with MS degree.
  • Candidate must have a working knowledge of digital/analog/mixed signal electronics, components, and interface/communication standards
  • Candidate must have experience in electronics design and test from architecture through implementation
  • Position requires candidates to be capable of performing in a collaborative engineering environment working closely with multi-disciplinary teams
  • Candidate must have demonstrated experience effectively communicating within a team environment
  • Candidate must have hands-on laboratory experience with instrumentation, test equipment, and debug/test methods
  • Candidates must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with EVM (Support CAM with tracking labor/cost, charge code allocation)
  • TDP knowledge
  • Cable design experience
  • Power system design experience
  • Component derating experience

Pay Range:

Pay Range $81,250.00 - $146,875.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
