Primary Responsibilities
- Works closely with MRP Production Planners and other functional teammates to include Strategic Sourcing, engineering, quality, and planning & control.
- Works with MRP Production Planners to Identify and mitigate supplier risk
- Ensure purchase orders are confirmed, deliveries are scheduled and maintained to meet production requirements
- Work with different departments to place orders, verify hardware, manage requisitions, and determine expected delivery dates to inform Project Managers of potential delays.
- Engages supply chain (vendor to manufacturing) to determine optimal acquisition strategy.
- Communicate with suppliers to obtain order status and maintain open order tracker.
- Handles additional ad hoc tasks the supervisor assigns.

Basic Qualifications
- Candidate must possess a Bachelor's degree and 2-4 years of prior relevant work experience or a Masters with with less than 2 years of prior relevant work experience. In lieu of degree, High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience will be considered
- Candidates must have at least 3 years of experience in manufacturing or purchasing activities, including experience managing production work orders.
- Position requires candidates to be capable of performing in a collaborative engineering environment working closely with multi-disciplinary teams.
- Candidate must have demonstrated experience effectively communicating within a team environment.
- Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.
Preferred Qualifications
- Electromechanical components or manufacturing
- Deltek Costpoint software
- Windchill configuration management software
- Interpreting and creating Bills of Materials
- Government contractor material purchasing requirements

Pay Range:
Pay Range $50,700.00 - $91,650.00
The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
