Leidos Dynetics, within our Digital Modernization sector, is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior System Administrator to join our team. This entry-level position provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in system administration and cybersecurity within a dynamic, multi-platform environment.

In this role, you will help ensure the secure and efficient operation of our Linux-based infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include assisting with vulnerability assessments, applying security configurations in line with industry standards, and supporting compliance efforts. You will also have the chance to work with networking and Windows systems, which will enhance your technical versatility. Ideal candidates should have a strong interest in IT, a willingness to learn, and foundational knowledge of Linux, networking, and Windows environments.

Location: Huntsville, AL - all work is performed onsite.
Clearance: You must currently hold a DoD Secret clearance to qualify for consideration.

Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain Linux, Network devices, and Windows endpoints.
• Embrace new technologies to meet evolving requirements.
• Provide onsite IT support.
• Coordinate with the Information Assurance team to meet compliance.
• Maintain a robust virtual and physical environment.
• Work on multiple projects within the Area of responsibility.
• Manage privileged access management.
• Ensure the proper marking, handling, and storage of classified materials.
• Contribute to maintaining the Baseline configuration of various information systems.
• Keep information systems compliant and aligned with DOD standards.

Basic Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent and less than one year of relevant experience

• Current Secret Clearance

• Must hold current DoD Directive 8570 / 8140 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II certification. (Security+ CE, CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, CND, SSCP)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to interface effectively with stakeholders
• Familiarity with IT fundamentals.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Previous experience maintaining networks in classified environments.
• Experience maintaining Linux environments.
• Experience troubleshooting hardware and software.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $33,150.00 - $59,925.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
