The Security Engineering Program (SEP) under Homeland and Force Protection at Leidos currently has an opening for a Senior Supply Chain Aviation-Fuel Analyst in the Professional Services Support (PSS) Program. As an Aviation-Fuel Analyst, you will coordinate and integrate the flow of materials and information among suppliers, manufacturers, distributors, and customers. You will work to achieve day-to-day objectives that have a significant impact on your area of responsibility. You will be responsible for entire projects or processes that span multiple professional areas. You will communicate with internal team members across multiple areas and client team members. You will work to influence project and team leaders regarding solution design, processes, and approaches. You will utilize expert knowledge and apply advanced principles and concepts from your professional field.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Demand Forecasting. Analyzing historical data and market trends to predict future fuel demand, enabling efficient inventory management and procurement.
  • Sourcing and Procurement. Identifying and managing relationships with fuel suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring a reliable supply of fuel.
  • Inventory Management. Monitoring fuel levels at various storage locations, optimizing storage and distribution, and minimizing fuel losses due to evaporation or leakage.
  • Logistics and Transportation. Planning and managing the transportation of fuel to various storage locations, optimizing routes, and coordinating with transport providers.
  • Cost Optimization. Analyzing fuel costs at different stages of the supply chain, identifying opportunities to reduce costs through efficient sourcing, transportation, and storage.
  • Risk Management. Identifying potential risks in the fuel supply chain, such as fuel shortages, price volatility, and transportation disruptions, and developing mitigation strategies.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting. Utilizing data analysis tools and techniques to track key performance indicators (KPIs), identify trends, and generate reports for stakeholders.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related area or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of Ten (10) years of experience conducting analysis and reviewing aviation and ground fuels requirements program.
  • Able to identify fuel sources from either commercial or Government sources through various sources of information, including databases.
  • Familiar with DoD 4140.25-M, Management of Bulk Petroleum Products, Natural Gas, and Coal; Joint Logistics Publication 4-0 and Joint Bulk Petroleum and Water Doctrine Publication 4-03.
  • Must be able to maintain a valid driver's license.
  • Be willing to drive CMV (>10K lbs./non-CDL Vehicles) and participate in driver protective/evasive training.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Military component Petroleum Logistics Management Course, and or
  • DLA Joint Petroleum Management Course
  • Experience in Logistical Project Management
  • Experience with MS Office (Excel, Project)

Pay Range:

Pay Range $80,600.00 - $145,700.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
