Insider Threat Program Database Architect
Description
The Digital Modernization Sector at Leidos currently has an opening for a Database Architect supporting the HEITS Contract as part of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Insider Threat Program (ITP). This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience to support, sustain, design and evolve the database backbone of the ITP. The ITP mission is to identify insider threats to the department by utilizing advanced analytics, monitoring, and data correlation which in turn help address and eliminate potential threat actors from compromising the DHS mission in safeguarding the homeland.
The selected candidate will be responsible for the following:
- Support the ITP database backend infrastructure, perform all routine maintenance activities, support upgrades and system recapitalization, perform availability/capacity management.
- Execute routine maintenance including reindexing, database backups, transaction log truncation, database cluster management.
- Design database encryption solutions using features like Transparent Data Encryption (TDE)
- Support all documentation to effectively capture the configuration baseline.
- Design and support system recapitalization plans to account for capacity growth and changes as directed by the customer.
- Serve as the subject matter expert on all database infrastructure.
- Support the development of stored procedures, queries, and views to support customer requirements.
- Support data warehouse features.
- Help the customer identify and optimize database schemas for referential integrity, cascade transactions, indexes, and other database design elements.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree and (12)+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with (10)+ years of prior relevant experience
- Prior leadership responsibilities
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Experienced and adept at developing and maintaining technical documents, analyses, and reports
- Experienced with preparing and presenting briefings to senior customer management, and customer stakeholders
- Working knowledge of Database Management systems and Database Design constructs.
- Active Top Secret government security clearance; Ability to obtain DHS EOD SCI
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree from an accredited college or university in IT Management, Engineering, or related field
- Proven experience (10+ years) in IT service delivery management
- Experience with User Activity Monitoring products and platforms
- Experience with Everfox High Speed Guard Platform
- Experience with Oracle, Microsoft SQL, PostgreSQL, or other DBMS platforms

Pay Range:
Pay Range $126,100.00 - $227,950.00
The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
