Description

The Digital Modernization Sector at Leidos currently has an immediate need for an experienced Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) II for a strategic High-Performance Computing (HPC) program. The ISSE II will need to be a self-starter with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, flexibility, good judgment, and the ability to work within a team to mature the HPC capabilities of our customer.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assists the Government in creating techniques and tools within a system engineering process that address IA throughout a system's total life cycle.
  • Identify overall security requirements for proper handling of Agency data, to include those imposed, IC directives, regulations, policies as well as those unique to their respective business lines.
  • Assist architects and system developers in identifying and implementing appropriate information security functionality to produce a uniform application of Agency security policies and provide consistent alignment with Agency and IC directions, while facilitating business functions.
  • Support the Government in creating technical IA guidance relative to the design and implementation of trusted relationships among external Agency systems and architectures, to ensure compliance with Agency security authorization requirements.
  • Provide ISSE interface for security risk management.
  • Provide security recommendations for strategic planning, infrastructure protection, and defensive strategy.
  • Recommend solutions to common problems that are consistent with Agency strategic goals.
  • Provide training and evolve existing Security Enterprise Tools Solutions (SETS) to improve the collection, tracking and reporting of metrics, projects, and projected resource requirements.
  • Maintain documentation such as schedules, reports, plans, and procedures as required.
  • Conduct security engineering and security configuration activities in support of Agency Gold Standard activities (e.g. assist with secure configurations of operating systems, network devices, and cross-domain solutions to minimize security-related findings during follow-on test activities.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must possess a TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
  • Candidates shall have at least eight (8) years of experience as an ISSE on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity required.
  • A bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Assurance, Information Security System Engineering, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
  • DoD 8570 compliance with IASAE Level 2 certification is required.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $104,650.00 - $189,175.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
