Description
Leidos Defense Systems currently has an opening for a Senior Software Engineer supporting the RF Engineering portfolio in Huntsville, AL with the Aerospace Systems Group . This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience in software development and software maintenance for advanced RF systems that provide critical information to customers.
Primary Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing the software engineering for full stack software, including the design, development, testing, troubleshooting, and debugging of software programs for enhancements and new software-intensive systems and products. Duties include software requirements analysis, analysis of hardware compatibility, development of software products and tools used for design, development and maintenance of infrastructure, and platforms.

Basic Qualifications:
- Computer Science, Software, Electrical, or Computer Engineering or similar degree with 4+ years of relevant experience
- Fluent in Python with Django experience
- Database Experience - such as PostgreSQL
- Front-end JavaScript frameworks such as Vue.js
- Git version Control
- Experience with software design
- Comfortable with Linux OS
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
Candidates must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with message queues, containerization such as PodMan or Docker, Java, C++, and Agile development.
Security Requirements:
Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (as well as maintain) a Final Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI with CI POLY

Pay Range:
Pay Range $81,250.00 - $146,875.00
