The Multi-Domain Solutions (MDS) division is seeking an experienced and strategic Facilities Engineering Manager to oversee the planning, operation, and maintenance of building systems and infrastructure across our organization. This leadership role is responsible for managing engineering staff and contractors, optimizing facility performance, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting long-term capital improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate has a strong background in engineering management, technical expertise in building systems, and a proven track record of delivering operational excellence and strategic facility planning.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of engineers, technicians, and contractors responsible for facility operations, maintenance, and engineering projects.
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP), HVAC, and structural systems.
- Develop and administer preventive and predictive maintenance programs to maximize system reliability and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Plan and manage capital improvement projects, infrastructure upgrades, and renovations from concept through execution.
- Ensure all building systems and infrastructure meet applicable safety, environmental, energy, and building codes and standards.
- Collaborate with EHS, Facility Operations, and other stakeholders to align engineering strategies with sustainability, energy efficiency, and business continuity goals.
- Prepare and manage budgets, cost estimates, and resource allocation for facility engineering operations and projects.
- Support emergency response and continuity planning, including utility systems and mission-critical infrastructure.
- Develop and implement performance metrics, dashboards, and reporting systems to track facility performance and project outcomes.
Basic Qualifications
- TS/SCI w/ Poly Clearance is required
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, technical management, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum of 8+ years of relevant experience in engineering, product development, or a related discipline (or 6+ years with a Master's degree).
- At least 4 years of experience supervising or leading engineering teams or cross-functional project teams.
- Demonstrated experience in applying engineering principles to business operations, including new product development and improvement of existing technologies.
- Proven ability to manage budgets and resource allocations within a department or project.
- Strong project management capabilities, including planning, execution, and delivery across multiple small-to-medium projects.
- Experience in leading cross-functional teams to achieve technical and operational objectives.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to address complex, multifaceted challenges.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across departments and influence stakeholders both internally and externally.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in engineering, engineering management, or business administration (MBA).
- Experience in:
- Budgeting - Managing departmental or project budgets, including cost optimization and forecasting.
- Process Improvements - Implementing Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies to streamline operations.
- Project Proposals - Developing and presenting detailed engineering project proposals, including technical and financial aspects.
- Quality Control (QC) - Ensuring designs and products meet regulatory and quality standards.
- Risk Management - Identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks associated with engineering projects.
- Systems Engineering - Leading the development of complex systems with integrated mechanical, electrical, and software components.
- Workforce Planning - Strategic planning of team composition, skills development, and succession planning.
- Experience communicating and influencing across business units, external partners, and customers.
- Familiarity with emerging technologies and market trends relevant to the organization's engineering portfolio.
- Leadership in innovation, with a record of contributing to or driving patentable designs or breakthrough products.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $126,100.00 - $227,950.00
