Leidos is seeking Intern Software Engineers and Developers in Dayton, OH to help build and maintain software solutions for various applications and customer bases. Our team works primarily with C++ in an Agile development environment. Gain experience while working on challenging problems to help us achieve our project goals while supporting a highly skilled technical team operating in a fast paced environment.
The Leidos Innovation Center at Leidos currently has an opening for an Event Based Sensing Algorithm Intern to work in our Beavercreek, OH, office. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience advancing neuromorphic processing for Event-based Sensors (EBS). In this mission, we are developing a common neuromorphic processing software development environment to enable future EBS applications.

Your expected roles and responsibilities will be:
- Implementing software and algorithm solutions in research tools, real-time embedded applications, or integrated demonstration systems.
- Supporting research and development to help us solve hard problems for our customers.
- Developing an understanding of the underlying theory and functions you are implementing in software, to enable collaboration with your research scientist colleagues.
- Working within a team to develop and demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, communication skills, and will be self-motivated.
To be considered for this position, you must possess these qualifications and skills:
- Minimum Education: Working towards a MS or PhD in Software Engineering or Computer Science
- Candidate must have a high school education or equivalent, currently enrolled in a postgraduate degree program (Masters/JD/PhD).
- 1 or more years of combined software experience, including internships, course work, or hobby projects
- 1 or more years of experience with a modern programming language via course work or other projects.
- 1 or more years of experience with neuromorphic processing via course work or other projects.
- Understanding of data structures and algorithms
- Demonstrable problem solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Object Oriented programming.
- Knowledge of GUI development
Strong written and oral communications skills and the ability to effectively interface with and brief technical solutions to customers

Pay Range:
Pay Range $55,250.00 - $99,875.00
