Description
Leidos MSO currently has an opening for 2 Electronic Warfare Journeyman Interns in Chantilly, VA in support of P-963. This is an ideal position for those new to EW, as well as those returning to EW requiring a short refresher on key topics.
Primary Responsibilities
Participate in a 10-week Electronic Warfare 101 Course. The course includes both lecture and practical exercises that reinforce the topics presented, which include, but are not limited to:
- EW Terms and Definitions
- Key Radar System Theory for EW
- Radar Types/Functions/Displays
- Phased Array Antenna Systems
- RF Propagation/Environmental Impacts
- EW Receiver System Basics
- EW Jamming System Basics
- Integrated Air Defense Systems (IADS)
- Modern Radar Development Trends

After the EW101 course, interns will continue to solve increasingly difficult but relevant technical problems to develop the familiarity with the concepts as well as to develop the problem solving skills to be able to enter the EW workforce.
Successful graduate(s) will be sponsored for a TS/SCI clearance and once granted, will move to Florida to an existing Leidos team. Anticipated move to Florida will be summer/fall of 2025.
Basic Qualifications
- Enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in electrical engineering, other engineering or Physics/Math
- Experience in Radio Frequency Design
- Experience in Signals Processing
- Significant experience or understanding of Radar fundamentals
- Must be eligible to obtain, maintain a TS/SCI security clearance
- US citizenship required
- Willingness to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI security clearance for potential future full-time employment
- Willingness to relocate to Florida in summer/fall 2025
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with MATLAB
- Knowledge in coding such as Python, Java, C, C++ or C#

Pay Range:
Pay Range $44,850.00 - $81,075.00
