The Maritime System Solutions Portfolio (MSS) within the Maritime Systems Division (MSD) is seeking an experienced, dynamic, and highly capable Electrical Engineering Manager to join the Leidos team in Lynnwood, WA to lead a multidisciplined team in the support of a series of maritime products. The scope of the business activities within this portfolio includes underwater vehicle systems, maritime sensors, supporting information technology & engineering services for complex maritime applications, development and support of underwater data acquisition and telemetry systems for distributed sensors for ISR, IPOE, SSW and platform signature measurement.

The Electrical Engineering Manager will be responsible for providing strategic and tactical leadership for the electrical engineer team across a portfolio of products, providing technical leadership across multiple programs, technical advancements, identification and communication of customer needs, ensuring engineering excellence in execution, provide process oriented guidance across multiple sub-expertise areas within electrical engineering , and providing resource planning and communication across a matrixed team.

The Maritime Systems Division of Leidos is an industry leader in developing, applying, and advancing the state-of-the-art processing technologies for Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) systems including distributed netted sensor systems, communications systems, positioning systems, tactical decision systems, and autonomous unmanned platforms. The Maritime System Solutions Portfolio includes an outstanding team of engineers, technicians, and scientists, located geographically throughout the US in both Leidos, customer, and work from home locations, each supporting a broad range of activities ranging from advanced prototype development for DARPA, ONR and other S&T customers to support for ongoing Navy missions. The successful applicant will become part of a world class team that is a recognized leader in maritime systems development.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Responsible for providing strategic and tactical leadership for the electrical engineering team across a portfolio of programs
  • Lead technical thought on project and program execution
  • Facilitate the system design, derivation and development of subsystem requirements
  • Provide technical mentorship and subject manner expertise to the electrical engineering team
  • Supervisor and provide tasking for the electrical engineering team in coordination with the program managers to meet program requirements, schedule and cost
  • Active participation in the Business Capture Process to include writing, designing, and reviewing proposal material.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science and/or master's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or physics from an accredited college.
  • 10+ years of engineering experience in subsea maritime programs that include software and electro-mechanical systems.
  • 5+ years in leadership of teams.
  • Able to obtain Secret clearance, requires US CItizenship

Preferred Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience leading the design, development, and integration subsea maritime systems.
  • Understanding of ISO 9001:2015.
  • Exposure to program management responsibilities for DoD programs. Including program execution, contract negotiations, financial, and subcontractor management.
  • Experience transitioning products from design to manufacturing.
  • Experienced with UUVs, payloads, and deployed subsea systems.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $126,100.00 - $227,950.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
