The National Security Sector is seeking a highly motivated and tactical DevOps Solutions Architect (SME) supporting Leidos Homeland and Force Protection Business Area division FBI portfolio. The candidate will support our Agile DevSecOps contract and be responsible for understanding customer needs to create applications. The ideal candidate will possess superior analytical and problem-solving skills, operate independently with limited supervision and feedback, be a strong team player, and can establish solid working relationships with technical staff and peers within the division, as well as our external Government customers. Experience in communications, Agile, and DevSecOps; hardware/software fabrication; Cloud, platform system integration; and/or test and evaluation is a plus.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Performs complex and advanced architecture work in design, evaluation, planning, testing and operation in support of system development, engineering analysis and research.
  • Leads in the integration of processes and methodologies to ensure the performance of the total system.
  • Works directly with senior technical personnel, program managers, and external organizations in the planning, oversight, execution, and evaluation of multiple complex technical solutions related to a program's system and technical product development.
  • Applies intensive and diversified knowledge of scientific principles and practices in broad areas across one or more technical disciplines.
  • Maintains a liaison role for technical matters with staff and customers and acts independently on technical issues within his/her field of expertise.
  • Will support the ATO and accreditation processes.

Clearance Required to be considered:

  • Current TS/SCI.

Required Experience, Skills, and Education:

  • 12+ years of experience in programming, software development, systems design, and cloud architecture.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related analytical, scientific, or technical discipline, along with relevant field certifications.
  • Proven expertise in architecting software solutions based on customer requirements.
  • Extensive experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), including networking, security, and automated provisioning of application environments.
  • Skilled in engineering, configuring, and administering technologies such as Windows, Linux, and VMware.
  • Strong background in designing and implementing automated build and deployment pipelines and supporting platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams through design, implementation, and delivery phases.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving technical, functional, and performance issues across large enterprise applications.
  • Experience supporting and maintaining 24/7 availability for platforms serving tens of thousands of users.

  • GitLab, JFROG Artifactory and Xray, Splunk, Hashicorp Vault, Boundary, Consul, Terraform, Nexus, JIRA, Crucible, Jenkins, Ansible and Ansible Tower
  • Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure Cloud
  • Microsoft Windows Server and Linux

Pay Range:

Pay Range $126,100.00 - $227,950.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
