Join our team at Leidos Spatial Solutions Division and be part of a dynamic environment dedicated to advancing critical Aeronautical systems. We're seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer with expertise in cloud migration and modernization, focusing on the meticulous creation and management of Docker containers for cutting-edge cloud-based applications.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead the Multi-cloud DevOps initiative, orchestrating AWS cloud environment operations, with a specific emphasis on Docker containerization and image creation.
  • Architect, implement, and optimize Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines for new and existing programs, emphasizing Docker container strategies.
  • Integrate and modernize programs into NGA CI/CD CORE DevOps pipelines, ensuring seamless deployment of Dockerized applications.
  • Manage and optimize PaaS frameworks and OpenShift environments, troubleshooting and maintaining peak performance of Docker containers.
  • Implement GitLab automated testing and deployment strategies specifically designed for Dockerized applications across the CI/CD pipeline.
  • Develop user-friendly dashboards for business intelligence, displaying system usage, specifications, and cost estimations related to Docker containerization.
  • Conduct data analysis and reporting, forecasting application volumes, with a special focus on Docker container performance and resource utilization.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years of software development experience demonstrating depth of technical understanding within a specific discipline(s)/technology(s).
  • Proficiency in AWS/Cloud technologies, OpenShift, Kubernetes, and cloud-based architectures, with a strong emphasis on Docker containerization.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail, demonstrated through proficient adherence to Git workflow methodologies, commit-based practices, and adept utilization of rebase strategies.
  • Hands-on experience with DevOps methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud optimization, specifically involving Docker containers.
  • Familiarity with AWS services (S3 Buckets, EC2, etc.) and System Engineering documentation.
  • Proficiency in team collaboration tools like Jira, Confluence, and Slack/RocketChat.
  • U.S. Citizenship required; active TS/SCI with Polygraph preferred. Sponsorship opportunities may be considered for exceptional candidates.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Docker container strategies, automated testing, and monitoring.
  • Expertise in Helm configurations, Docker file creation, and database instantiation specifically optimized for Docker containers.
  • Proven track record in identifying and implementing process improvements within DevOps workflows, enhancing efficiency, and streamlining deployment pipelines.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $101,400.00 - $183,300.00
