Leidos is seeking a highly qualified Deputy Project Director to support the national coordination of a diverse network of service providers focused on multi-platform UI/UX design. The ideal candidate will assist in the management and execution of the project, ensuring that all objectives are achieved in a timely, efficient, and high-quality manner. This includes supporting the oversight of project staff, subcontractors, deliverables, cost maintenance, and communications with the customer and primary stakeholders. The Deputy Project Manager will also play a key role in addressing issues, managing day-to-day operations, and ensuring project goals are met. The candidate must reside in the Maryland/Virginia region and be available to work on-site at one of our DMV office locations.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Support execution and management of overall program execution
  • Support the Projector Director with all goals, timelines, and deliverables ensuring all are met within scope and budget
  • Support the development of user-friendly experiences across various devices and operating systems, ensuring a seamless and intuitive interaction for users regardless of their platform
  • Support the design, development, testing, deployment, production support and maintenance processes and identify opportunities to streamline through automation.
  • Cultivate a culture of innovation and promote collaboration across teams and projects.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve systemic beneficiary complaints if they arise.
  • Provide transparent and regular status updates in requested format
  • Ensure quality control of all services provided

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field such as business management, public administration, or the social sciences from a currently accredited institution.
  • (12)+ years of management experience in administering and managing programs or Master's degree with (10)+ years management experience in administering and managing programs.
  • Demonstrated timeliness and quality of deliverables
  • Strong communication, presentation, and facilitation skills
  • Customer service oriented
  • Experience working across multiple disciplines to accomplish a common set of goals and expectations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge and experience with project management methodologies and tools.
  • Demonstrated ability supporting multidisciplinary teams, both internal and external.
  • Ability to maintain a clear focus on project objectives and deliverables while navigating challenges.
  • Experience supporting financial management and budget oversight skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with senior leadership, external stakeholders, and customer representatives.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.

Clearance Required:

  • Must successfully clear a Public Trust background determination throughout duration of employment.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $112,450.00 - $203,275.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
