The National Security Sector is seeking a highly motivated and tactical Cross Domain System Engineer (Senior) supporting Leidos Homeland and Force Protection Business Area division FBI portfolio. The candidate will support our Agile DevSecOps contract and be responsible for understanding customer needs to create applications. The ideal candidate will possess superior analytical and problem-solving skills, operate independently with limited supervision and feedback, be a strong team player, and can establish solid working relationships with technical staff and peers within the division, as well as our external Government customers. Experience in communications, Agile, and DevSecOps; hardware/software fabrication; Cloud, platform system integration; and/or test and evaluation is a plus.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, development, integration, and maintenance of network infrastructure, server environments, operating systems, and attached devices, ensuring system performance, security, and scalability.
- Provide hands-on support for daily operations, including system monitoring, issue diagnosis, troubleshooting, and resolution of complex hardware, software, and network problems at both the physical and logical levels.
- Plan and implement new infrastructure solutions for voice and data networks, participating in technical reviews and architectural decisions.
- Manage virtualization technologies and administer network environments, maintaining standards for protocols such as TCP/IP.
- Oversee the deployment, testing, certification, and patching of systems, ensuring interoperability across components and compliance with security standards.
- Perform systems management and integration tasks, including storage and backup systems, while composing technical documentation, SOPs, and quick reference guides.
- Provide top-level expertise in designing and developing client/server systems, including setting database standards and infrastructure strategies.
- Offer technical consultation and training to IT staff, advise management on technology acquisitions, and assess the feasibility of future projects.
Clearance Required to be considered:
- Current TS/SCI.
Required Experience, Skills, and Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical, scientific, or analytical discipline.
- 8+ years of experience in Information Systems Engineering, with hands-on expertise in the following areas:
- Design and implementation of hardware and network solutions for large-scale enterprise applications (including cloud service providers, network design, datacenter experience, network/systems administration, domain administration, virtualization platforms, SaaS, and PaaS).
- Implementation and maintenance of security best practices, along with creating and maintaining detailed documentation for architecture, configurations, and processes.
- Establishment and maintenance of monitoring and alerting systems for both cloud and on-premise resources.
- Optimization of on-premise and cloud infrastructure for cost efficiency and performance.
- Troubleshooting and resolving performance and availability issues.
- Proven experience in troubleshooting and problem-solving, demonstrated both individually and as a team lead or consultant.
- Software development, with a strong foundation in coding.
- Scripting and programming for automation tasks.
- Monitoring large enterprise production applications and troubleshooting production environments.
- Performance tuning and fault detection.
- Design consulting, platform management, and capacity planning.
Desired Experience, Skills, and Education:
- Scripting (Python, PowerShell, JSON, YAML)
- AWS experience (GovCloud, C2S, SC2S, DIOD; EC2, EFS, EBS, SQS, DLQ, Lambda, SNS)
- Microsoft Endpoint Defender, anti-virus solutions, and SSH
- Experience with Cross Domain Systems (e.g., Everfox, Forcepoint)
- Agile methodologies, GitLab, and JIRA (development requests, triggers, SLAs, sprint planning)
- Networking, Splunk (monitoring, triggers, dashboards)
- Confluence (reporting, planning, documentation, system configurations)

Pay Range:
Pay Range $104,650.00 - $189,175.00
