The Leidos global Chief Information Office (CIO) Services organization reports into the Digital Modernization Sector and collaborates across organizational lines to deliver effective enabling digital capabilities to our global employee base. The OCIO team develops, deploys, and manages innovative digital capabilities leveraging industry-leading partnerships and cost-effective deployment and management models. The OCIO is seeking leaders to drive efficient capability delivery and management, more opportunities for innovation, and facilitate data-driven decisions across the enterprise.

CIO Services is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Content Development Strategist to join the Operational Strategy & Communications team. This role reports to the Sr. Communications and Engagement Strategist and combines strategic and tactical communications to articulate the CIO vision, increase awareness of key initiative areas, and drive engagement with our employees across various channels and mediums. The ideal candidate will have strong background in communications, have the ability to flex when needed, and agility to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Location: This position offers full time telework from any U.S. based location.

Citizenship: This position requires U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency.

Primary Responsibilities include:

  • Support the Sr. Communications and Engagement Strategist with strategic communications that connect employees to the organization's culture, vision, and key priorities.
  • Create compelling content across various formats and delivery vehicles, such as briefings, newsletters, blog posts, emails, to drive awareness and employee engagement.
  • Manage and execute internal messaging related to organizational updates, performance management, benefits, goal setting, and other key initiatives.
  • Develop content for social media platforms, including LinkedIn to amplify leadership and organizational presence and engagement.
  • Support Events Communications by way of calendar holds, details communications, reminders.
  • Support logistics and messaging for company-wide meetings, including all hands and key leadership updates.
  • Maintain consistent tone and voice across all communications, ensuring consistency and connection to larger organizational strategy and messages.
  • Review and revise written content for accuracy, clarity, and consistency in grammar, punctuation, and style.
  • Evaluate and edit content to determine appropriate syntax, style, grammatical usage and tone for effective communication delivery and reception that aligns with company vision and business objective.
  • Organize, store, and retrieve documents and records in a systematic and efficient manner to support business operations and compliance requirements
  • Gather, analyze, and synthesize information from various sources to support decision-making, problem-solving, and strategic planning.

Required Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency.
  • Bachelor's Degree in English, Communications, Journalism or related field.
  • 2-4 years of professional communications experience, including internal and executive communications,
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives and deliver clear messages.
  • Motivated self-starter with ability to manage concurrent projects and make decisions independently.
  • Strong attention to detail, sense of urgency and a passion for flawless execution.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $50,700.00 - $91,650.00
