Description

The Geospatial Integration and Solutions Portfolio at Leidos currently has an opportunity for a part time Consultant in St. Louis, MO in support of the Maritime Safety of Navigation Mission. This position will be required to provide consulting support to project and program management activities, consult on mission risk and opportunity management, consult on sustainability, strategy, and compliance. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and establishing relationships between the company, strategic partners and customers. Proposal assignments include reviewing and editing white papers, proposal content such as management plans, technical content and solutions, past performance, staffing plans, resumes, proposal presentations, and material for on-contract growth as well as new business pursuits.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with program mangers, subject matter experts, and portfolio leadership to capture key concepts and ideas while maintaining consistency in messaging and strategy
  • Identify, develop, and implement near-term and long-term business strategies that provide the business an opportunity to grow revenue
  • Influence development of solutions that impact strategic project/program/family goals and business results
  • Recommend and implement new solutions, processes, policies, standards in support of function's strategy and operations
  • Interface with key customer contacts
  • Prepare, edit and review proposal artifacts and whitepapers
  • Work within high performance teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Contribute to fast-paced business leadership teams

Basic Qualifications

  • Must have excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) and highly effective interpersonal skills in order to carry-out daily interactions with technical leaders, program managers as well as with customers.
  • Must have expert knowledge of Maritime industry practices, advanced techniques and solutions within a professional discipline to develop new standards, processes, and solutions.
  • Teamwork is an essential quality, as is the ability to work effectively while under tight deadlines.
  • Typically requires a BA degree and 12 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 10 years of prior relevant experience
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a TS Clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • 20+ years of experience in the Maritime domain
  • Knowledge of DOD proposal requirements and standards

JANUS Maritime

This position has a target range for compensation of $148,000 - $168,000. This is a firm fixed price contract and does not allow for negotiations outside of this target range.
