Description
Leidos is seeking a Business Analyst to join our existing dedicated, highly motivated team in a long-term engagement at the Internal Revenue Service Network Management Control Center. This position will be contingent upon award/contract extension.
Clearance Requirements:
- Must currently possess an active Background Investigation (MBI) clearance, similar to a Public Trust.
- Up to date on income tax filing and tax payments, if applicable.
Business Analyst Job Responsibilities:
- Elicits, analyzes, and validates requirements from the client and the development team.
- Collaborates with project sponsors to determine project scope and vision.
- Conducts interviews to gather customer requirements via workshops, questionnaires, surveys, site visits, workflow storyboards, use cases, scenarios, and other methods.
- Works with stakeholders and project team to prioritize collected requirements.
- Participates in the QA of developed solutions to ensure features and functions have been enabled and optimized.
- Analyzes and verifies requirements for completeness, consistency, comprehensibility, feasibility, and conformity to standards.
- Develops and utilizes templates to accurately and concisely write requirements specifications.
- Translates conceptual customer requirements into functional requirements in a clear manner that is comprehensible to developers/project team.
- Creates process models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to developers and/or the project team.
- Manages and tracks the status of requirements throughout the project lifecycle; enforce and redefine as necessary.
Must Haves:
- Bachelors degree and 5 or more years experience as a Business Analyst. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- 5 years overall experience in IT, preferred leading teams in the consolidation of data centers and migrations to the cloud.
- Experience and knowledge in a network environment.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
- Be able to track and provide project status.
- Keen attention to detail.
- Highly self-motivated.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
Nice to Haves:
- Excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
- Experience utilizing Microsoft Project.
- Project Management experience.
- Prior employment with the federal government.
Work Schedule and Location:
- Core hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm EST.
- All federal holidays off.
- Reside in the Washington DC metro area.
- Telework approximately 60% with 2 days in the office.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $72,150.00 - $130,425.00

Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
