The Senior Manager, HR Technology (Workday Integrations) is part of the HR Tech team and requires deep technical expertise in Workday Integration tools, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate with HR, IT, and business stakeholders to ensure seamless data flow and system connectivity.
This hands-on leadership role is responsible for managing a team of Workday integration developers, overseeing the design, development, testing, and deployment of complex Workday integrations using Studio and other Workday tools. The ideal candidate will bring deep Workday integration expertise, proven team leadership, and a strategic mindset to drive scalable, efficient, and secure integrations across our HR technology ecosystem.

The Workday Sr. Integration Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining integrations using Workday Studio, Core Connectors, EIBs, and APIs. This role also requires expertise in troubleshooting complex issues, optimizing integration performance, and ensuring data security and compliance. Additionally, the developer will proactively identify opportunities for process automation, system enhancements, and integration efficiencies following best practice methodology to support the evolving needs of the business.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of Workday integration developers, including hiring, mentoring, performance management, and workload prioritization.
- Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of Workday integrations, including design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
- Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) in Workday Studio, Core Connectors, EIBs, Document Transformation, Web Services (REST/SOAP), and Workday Extend.
- Identify, assess, and solve sophisticated business problems for integrating the Workday cloud application with external applications across a wide array of Human Capital Management functions, where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors
- Ensure integrations are scalable, efficient, adhering to architectural standards, best practices, data privacy regulations and compliance standards.
- Manage timelines, priorities, and resources for integration projects, ensuring on-time delivery with minimal business disruption utilizing agile methodologies.
- Lead integration testing activities, prepare test scripts, conduct Unit and UAT testing.
- Thoroughly document integration processes, configurations for future reference
- Experience working in Agile environments, managing multiple projects, and meeting deadlines.
Education & Experience Required:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 6+ years of demonstrated ability with data migration, integration development, report building / RaaS, or software development
- 10+ years of experience in Workday Integrations development, including Workday Studio, Core Connectors, EIBs, Web Services (SOAP, REST), and Workday APIs.
- ServiceNow (preferred)
- Workday Integration PRO certification (preferred)
Skills and Competencies:
- Hands-on Workday experience developing and supporting end-to-end Integrations across multiple functions, such as Core HCM, Compensation, Recruiting, Learning, Finance, Benefits, IT and Procurement
- Experience in all phases of the technology implementation lifecycle (requirements gathering, design, build, testing, and launch)
- Experience in leading a design session, reviewing, and assisting in the creation of project deliverables
- Advanced skills with RaaS, EDI, Web Services, XSLT, Java, .Net or other integration technology
- Experience in dealing with XML and JSON data structures
- Proficiency in MVEL (MVFLEX Expression Language) and XSLT for writing custom business logic within Workday Studio Integrations.
- Familiar with XML Transformations, Namespaces, XSD
- Experience in dealing with SOAP and REST APIs
- Experience in leading design sessions, reviewing, and assisting in the creation of project deliverables
- Have a delivery-focused mindset, high energy and drive and the ability to achieve results through others.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy with ability to design and develop solutions to meet business needs creatively
- Comfort with leading multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, prioritize decisions and tasks effectively, and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Familiar with ServiceNow case management
- Adept working with agile methodologies and delivery
- Effective communication skills in explaining complex concepts in simple terms and understanding HR internal and vendor processes
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Pay Range: $140K to $180K/yr
All job offers will be based on a candidate's skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.
LBP Eligible Positions:
The position is also eligible for an annual bonus under the Labcorp Bonus Plan. Bonuses are payable based on corporate and/or business segment performance and are subject to individual performance modifiers.
