We are currently seeking a Lead Dispatcher to managing the Dispatch and Couriers for the Seattle Lab. In this role, you will provide exceptional customer service in support of the Hospital Clients. In addition, you will be provided opportunities for continuous growth within the organization.
Pay Range: $21.10 to $32.24 per hour
All job offers will be based on a candidate's skills and prior relevant experience and the terms of the collective bargaining agreement between Dynacare Northwest, Inc. and United Food and Commercial Workers Union, Local 21.

Work Schedule: Mon-Fri, 10am-6:30pm, with expectation to work any shift as needed 24/7, with proper advance notification
Work Location: 500 17th Avenue Seatle, WA 98122, James Tower-3rd floor

Job Responsibilities:
- Check for all voicemail and text messages
- Monitor employee absenteeism and ensure route coverage is complete.
- Monitor necessary vehicle repairs, follow up with the auto repair facility to ensure that vehicles are being repaired in a timely manner, notify supervisor or manager.
- Check and ensure all key rings for all routes are accounted for.
- Distribute reports and supplies to the correct bins or routes
- Review the previous day's evening shift report for any concerns, (i.e. potential missed pickups, accidents etc) Follow up and contact locations of any missed pickups; confirm the status of each incident and record all information on the dispatch communication log of the action taken; if locations closed, continue to call at regular intervals. Make necessary arrangements for any pickups needed. Report this information to Courier Services Manager or Supervisor.
- Review supply deliveries list and supplies in supply hold; ensure dispatch hallway area kept clear; prepare couriers and shuttle drivers; maintain regular contact with supply personnel of dispatch supplies.
- Assign vehicles, park card, route keys, etc to the couriers as they report in.
- Respond to incoming STAT calls by dispatching either first to couriers or to out-source courier and monitor STAT turnaround times.
- Ensure follow up of any concerns requested of the department throughout the day.
- Immediately communicate to Courier Services Manager or Supervisor any changes or customer request for updates to route sheets.
- Report immediately any vehicle accident to the Manager or Supervisor. Call police if necessary.
- Ensure authorized personnel do not enter dispatch office; keep dispatch office area and desks neat and tidy at all times; keep accurate reports of all forms, logbooks, requests and route sheets readily available.
- Effectively communicate unfinished items between shifts.
- Fresh and updated route sheets must be prepared for next day by evening dispatcher.
- Communicate to Central Processing supervisor of any delayed routes or courier changes
- Communicate any delay or problems in air shipments to Manager or Supervisor.
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must have a Valid Driver's License and good driving record
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Previous Experience as a Dispatcher and Courier highly preferred
- Should be able to perform effectively under a high degree of pressure and stress due to workload and customer interaction.
- Must demonstrate good organizational skills and be detail oriented, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and good computer skills.
