Internship Details
- Duration: 11 weeks, full-time
- Dates of Internship: June 1, 2026 - August 14, 2026
- Location: St. Paul, MN
- Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm
- Compensation: Paid internship; relocation assistance available for qualified candidates
- Eligibility: Preferred candidates are rising juniors and seniors (Dec 2026 through June 2028 graduation) who are currently enrolled in a relevant degree program; however, all current students pursuing related studies are encouraged to apply.

About the Team:
Our forensic toxicology laboratory is fast paced with a high daily volume and performs a variety of high complexity testing including workplace drug testing and federal drug testing on urine, oral fluid, blood and serum sample types. Testing is done through manual and semi-automated systems that are analyzed on a variety of instruments and software processing platforms. This intern will work on a project throughout the internship and in addition, will assist the laboratory with various duties at the lab assistant level, including both hands-on and automated processes, to support the laboratory technologists who have the industry required educational credentials to perform patient testing.
Internship Assignment Summary:
- Work on a dedicated project within the Forensic Toxicology laboratory which includes hands-on experience with both wet chemistry and instrumentation - previous projects have been validating an existing assay on a different instrumentation platform to increase production capacity or to make needed changes to the assay
- Analyze and aggregate data into insights for informed decision making
- Familiarize yourself with lab processes in an industry-leading toxicology laboratory
- Engage in professional development workshops to enhance your business acumen and professional presence
Education/Qualifications/Skills:
- Working towards a bachelor's degree in chemistry (preferred) or biological science
- Ability to show initiative, prioritize tasks and manage time
- Ability to perform work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Good written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills
- Able to work independently within a team under general supervision
- This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship
