Histotechnician

Labcorp is seeking a Histotechnician to join our team in Shanghai, China.

Job Responsibilities:

• Performs duties of necropsy

• Performs histology (Include trimming, decalcification, processing, embedding, sectioning, staining, cover slipping and QC)

• Performs necropsy and/or histology study responsibilities

• Performs other duties as assigned

• Report all animal care concerns and become involved in the resolution and appropriate corrective action, when necessary

• Responsible for Tox sample management, including handling, transferring, and inventory until archive.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associate Degree in Histology, Laboratory Animal Technology or Veterinary Technology

• 3 months or more experience using computer and office software applications (e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel, MS-Access and Outlook).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification as a Histology Technician by ASCP or an AALAS certification at the Laboratory Animal Technician level

• 1 or more years of experience in Histology

• Ability to structure and manage workloads without direct supervision
