Labcorp Genetics has an opening for a Remote-Based Genetic Counseling Assistant (GCA) to join their team! . The GC Assistant will be responsible for a variety of administrative tasks that require a high level of attention to detail and excellent customer service skills. This position will be supporting our Results Reporting team.
The schedule for this position will be: Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm eastern time zone. Please note: candidates can be located anywhere in the US, however, must be able to work eastern time zone.
Responsibilities:
- Work with the Genetic Counseling team to manage results to be reported to patients through an innovative approach to providing genetic testing results
- Responsible for obtaining and distributing results to genetic counselors and ensuring that all results are distributed daily for reporting to patients
- Contact clients to obtain pertinent demographic information
- Communicate with clients regarding patients who genetic counselors were unable to reach
- Responsible for performing administrative duties such as data entry, database/log maintenance, filing, and faxing of reports

Requirements:
- Associates degree required, Bachelor's degree preferred
- Min 1 year experience in the healthcare industry such as a hospital or physician's office required with Associate's Degree. No previous experience required with Bachelors degree
- 2-3 years' experience working in a laboratory or clinical genetics setting highly preferred
- Familiarity with genetic concepts
- Experience with Excel required
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite required
- Strong multi-tasking ability with excellent attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and excellent ability to listen and respond effectively
- Strong flexibility and the ability to manage and adapt to changing priorities quickly
- Strong project management skills
- Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with others and work cooperatively and effectively to set goals, resolve problems and make recommendations

**Pay Range: $25.75 - $31.25/hour
All job offers will be based on a candidate's skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.
