We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Flow Cytometry Diagnostic Specialist to join our diagnostic laboratory team. This individual will be responsible for the development, validation , and interpretation of flow cytometry assays for clinical diagnostics. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in immunophenotyping, cell culture and data analysis, and will work closely with laboratory scientists, and director to ensure accurate and timely results.
Work Schedule: 1st shift, Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm

Job Responsibilities
- Develop, validate, and implement new flow cytometry panels as needed for emerging diagnostic needs
- Analyze and interpret multi-color flow cytometry data for diagnostic purposes, including hematologic malignancies, immune deficiencies, and monitoring of transplant patients
- Maintain and troubleshoot flow cytometry instruments (e.g., BD FACSCanto, FACSLyric, or equivalent) to ensure optimal performance and data integrity
- Prepare data summaries, reports and write SOPs.
- Participate in quality control, proficiency testing, and process improvement initiatives.
- Provide training and mentorship to laboratory staff on flow cytometry techniques and analysis.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology or a non-traditional Bachelor's degree that meets local regulatory (CLIA & State) requirements; Masters is preferred
- ASCP or AMT certification is preferred
- 2 years of clinical laboratory testing experience is required; preferably in flow cytometry
- Strong understanding of immunophenotyping and diagnostic applications in hematologic disorders is preferred
- Experience with flow cytometry software (e.g., FlowJo, Kaluza, FCS Express) is preferred
- Familiarity with regulatory standards (CLIA, CAP, HIPAA) in a clinical laboratory setting
- Excellent communication, documentation and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced laboratory environment
- Proficiency with laboratory information systems (LIS) and diagnostic instruments/software
