Enterprise Systems Monitoring Specialist

Labcorp is looking for a Systems Specialist to join the Enterprise Systems Monitoring team. We're looking for motivated individuals that are interested in enabling data driven business success by providing operational insight into performance and availability of business systems.

The successful candidate will have strong scripting skills, an interest in software development, and familiarity with AWS and other cloud hosting providers.

This individual will assist in development of scripts that support automation of Enterprise Systems Monitoring tasks and activities. We're also looking for someone who brings data analysis skills to help us develop dashboards and reports using data pulled from monitoring tools and other data sources. In addition to those tasks, the role provides opportunities to facilitate the success of other internal teams by serving as an operational and application performance monitoring Subject Matter Expert.

Requirements:

• Possess practical experience with software development and different application hosting technologies
• Experience with or knowledge about AI and machine learning is desirable and relevant to the opportunity
• Knowledge of IT event and alert management is a plus
• Should have working understanding of underlying technologies like operating systems (UNIX, Linux, and Windows), networks, and databases
• General knowledge of scripting or software engineering with the ability to write code/scripts for integrating products and technologies
• Should possess excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills and be comfortable engaging stakeholders and other team members
• Have problem solving and troubleshooting skills and the ability to facilitate resolution of complex issues with innovative solutions
• Adaptability and willingness to learn new tools and technologies is wanted
• Prefer some knowledge of systems engineering or application development
• Normally requires an education path in Computer Science

Other Qualifications:

• 2+ years of infrastructure-related technical support or equivalent education and experience
• Experienced in shell scripting and familiar with navigating various operating systems
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; demonstrates an ability to analyze issues and offer solutions
• Team oriented; works collaboratively and effectively with others by sharing ideas in a positive manner, listens to and considers ideas and suggestions from others
• Effectively communicates with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
• Excellent organization and time management skills; ability to adjust priorities to meet deadlines and keep stakeholders informed of progress
• Familiarity with Atlassian's JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket, and Bamboo, and Python
