Labcorp's Corporate IT is actively searching for an experienced Director, IT Project Management, Biopharma Laboratory Services, who will leverage their technology and project delivery skills to ensure IT programs and projects meet organizational goals. As a strategic leader, you will direct project management staff and partner with other department leaders to define, prioritize, develop, and implement projects and programs. You will be accountable for directly managing one or two programs and ensuring that all IT projects are delivered with high quality, on time, on budget with agreed upon functionality. You will drive our technology project delivery function ensuring that we meet both internal and external customer needs today and tomorrow. This position reports directly to the Vice President of IT Project Management at Labcorp.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with cross-organization teams across the organization to develop and manage a wide variety of IT projects that span application development, application integration, client interface implementations, laboratory solution implementations, and infrastructure/security.
- Create and manage project plans, dependencies, and budgets through the entire project lifecycle.
- Identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, and facilitate conflict resolutions to drive projects to completion on time, within scope and budget.
- Remove roadblocks and make strategic and day-to-day decisions to move projects forward.
- Ensure launch readiness, coordinate planning, and post-launch monitoring.
- Track the project portfolio while ensuring it continues to support the business strategy.
- Communicate project/program initiatives effectively with internal project stakeholders and external customers at all levels.
- Mentor and train project managers to help solve technical challenges.
- Determine PMO skill set requirements to match environment and strategic objectives and make personnel changes to support requirements.
- Identify gaps in the current PMO and project management methodologies and implement improvements to PMO processes including resource management, reporting, and demand management.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 5+ years in a managing a medium (5 - 20 FTEs) to large team (20+ FTEs).
- Minimum 10+ years in a direct IT project management role including all aspects of project development and delivery implementation.
- Expert in project management discipline.
- Exemplary written and oral communication skills, including meeting and workshop facilitation experience.
- Candidate must flourish in a fast-paced, iterative, deadline driven environment.
- Excellent troubleshooting, follow-through and problem-solving skills.
- A strategic visionary with good judgment and strong operational focus.
- Ability to drive multiple teams in a priority changing, high pressure environment.
- General business understanding including planning activities.
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills with employees at all levels.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
- Clinical laboratory experience including laboratory information management system (LIMS) experience.
- PMP certification or demonstrated equivalent experience.
- Strong proficiency with project management software (Microsoft Project, Clarity, etc.) to provide visibility to all levels of management and stakeholders.
- A passion for helping people learn and share knowledge.
- Ability to coach and mentor junior project managers.
- Ability to influence team members across a matrixed organization.
- Clinical trials and CRO experience is preferred.
EDUCATION
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent technical work experience.
