About the Role:

We are seeking a Contract Analyst I to join our Central Laboratory Services Contracting team. A successful candidate would preferably have Clinical Research Organization (CRO) or pharmaceutical industry background. Candidates should know how to develop, review and negotiate contractual agreements (including Master Agreements), be proficient in contract administration, and be comfortable working with numbers and data entry (experience with SalesForce/Conga CMS is a plus)! Great communication skills and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple contractual deliverable are keys to success. The candidate will also demonstrate the ability to work both independently, and as part of a team, as they will be interacting with key internal and external stakeholders to help drive the contracting process forward to successful finalization. We are a global contract management team, therefore flexibility across time zones may be required from time to time. This is a remote position, offering flexibility for the candidate as well to manage work and family obligations. We are looking for a candidate that is able to quickly adapt and contribute to our global organization by supporting our mission to improve lives through improving health.

Duties

  • Develop and review contracts for low to medium complexity projects and see through to execution (including MSAs, CDAs, ISAs, IPAs, WSCs, budgets if required, etc.) - up to 50% on MSAs (single unit Client or single unit Labcorp template)
  • Lead negotiations for all assigned Agreements with moderate to high management support
  • Develop and apply a working knowledge of the various Labcorp business units to insure proper contract terms for all types of studies
  • Generate cash flow analysis and payment schedules with high degree of management support for the above mentioned agreements in accordance with Contract Management guidelines for review by senior members of the department
  • Follow up on outstanding contract issues for resolution to meet internal and external deadlines and to minimize business and legal risk
  • Work cross-functionally with Contract Analysts, Client Services, Finance, Pricing and Sales to resolve contract issues in a timely manner
  • Assist Analysts and SMEs with periodic client follow-up for contract documentation
  • Assist in managing overall contract processes and client relationships
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives intended to improve global delivery of contracts
  • Adhere to Contract Management policies and process
  • Ensure Sarbanes Oxley compliance from a contracting perspective
  • Perform accurate data entry into SFDC, Apttus, CMS and/or other tools required for reporting
  • Provide accurate updates on all outstanding contractual documents to management as required through required systems or tracking mechanisms
  • Participate in project review meetings as necessary

Experience/Education

  • BA or BS in business or life sciences (or equivalent experience)
  • 2 years in the pharmaceutical or CRO industry preferred with minimum of 1 year of contract management related experience (or equivalent)
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, multi-task and prioritize
  • Demonstrated teamwork, communication and organizational skills
  • Proficient in Excel and Word (intermediate)
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills
  • Excellent customer service skills, attention to detail and ability to be persistent while maintaining tact
  • Proven ability to work independently
  • Experience and comfort in a high volume, fast paced environment is essential
  • Ability to negotiate
