Labcorp is seeking a Laboratory Quality Analyst to join our team in Shelton, CT. The Quality Assurance team provides vital support to the laboratories, senior management as well as our clients, and other Labcorp sites. The Quality Analyst will be responsible for supporting projects and activities related to quality assurance, quality improvement, quality training, and other responsibilities of the Quality Assurance department. The Quality Analyst allows the laboratory to provide quality results to our providers and patients, which increases customer satisfaction and solidifies loyalty for our company.
Work Schedule: 40 hours a week, day time hours, 8am - 4:30pm

Primary Responsibilities
- Provide leadership in the areas of quality management within the laboratory.
- Generate reports and compile metrics for quality reviews. Prepare monthly quality metric reports and presentations
- Help ensure laboratory maintains current federal, state, and local licensure and accreditation (as applicable). Serve as a resource on laboratory regulations.
- Aid in document control and management of policies and procedures. Update and maintain site and quality procedures and forms as needed. Assist in training staff on document control software.
- Assist in auditing the facility departments, with inspection readiness, and with on-site audits and inspections.
- Facilitate meetings as assigned. Participate in operations and quality meetings, record and distribute minutes.
- Assist in root cause investigations and review of nonconforming events and client concerns.
- Coordinate continuing education opportunities.
- Participate in Quality projects as assigned.
- Train laboratory staff on applicable Quality subjects
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (biological/chemical/health science preferred)
- Strong computer skills with proficiency with MS Office programs (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word)
- Previous experience in Quality (QA/QC), clinical laboratory or lab support is preferred
- Excellent analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills
- Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
- High level of attention to detail with strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Working knowledge of quality assurance/quality management best practices
- General knowledge of clinical laboratory regulations (CAP/CLIA/ISO) and licensing requirements
- Familiarity with electronic data management systems preferred (i.e. MediaLab)
