ABM Senior Manager, Customer Marketing
Recognized as one of Forbes 2024 "America's Best Large Employers" and named to the Forbes 2024 "Best Employers for Diversity", Labcorp is seeking to hire an ABM Senior Manager, Customer Marketing.
The Customer Marketing team develops campaigns across the buyer's journey with the key objective of increasing awareness and driving demand for Labcorp's full portfolio of products and services across diagnostics and drug development. This role will lead a team of customer marketers on design and execution of our highly targeted ABM initiatives in partnership with our Product & Segment Marketing team. This key role will focus on developing a team of high-performing customer marketers, orchestrating the coordinated deployment of our global integrated marketing programs to enable a cohesive message to the target audiences and market as a whole. Responsibilities of the role includes assisting in directing our agency relationship to facilitate alignment with internal channel partners, managing allocation of the marketing budget in support of key initiatives, fostering cross-functional alignment for ABM execution and ensuring our sales teams are enabled with the right tools to effectively leverage our marketing programs.
This hybrid position offers a balanced schedule of a minimum of three in-office days at an assigned location to be either Burlington or Durham, NC, supporting both collaboration and flexibility.
Campaign Strategy
- Deliver brand experience, voice, and visuals targeting high value / key accounts
- Collaborate Business and Commercial Leaders, Product & Segment Marketing, and Medical Affairs to understand business goals and strategies, market sizing, product positioning, content, strategy, account needs and target customer and/or key account profiles
- Create and execute campaign plans that bring audience-focused spotlight across enterprise
- Work with both segment, therapeutic, digital, product and research marketing teams to identify and define strategies to support the brand awareness and demand generation needs of our global business
Campaign Execution
- Orchestrate delivery of campaign plans to ensure alignment with marketing plan and delivery on business goals
- Manage and appropriately allocate overall marketing and specific campaign budgets
- Define ABM campaign plan calendar & timelines
- Design appropriate channel mix to support campaign goals and ensure effective reach into target accounts
- Lead tactic sequencing and prioritization, project management
- Guide content strategy and messaging architecture across all marketing channels (media, web, email, sales, events, etc.)
- Manage audience marketing budget spend (media, agencies, creative, etc.) appropriately by aligning tactical plans with P&S leadership's strategic priorities
Strategic Stakeholder
- Lead recurring meeting cadence with Product & Segment Marketing to align on focus account's campaign and annual marketing strategy, timelines, address roadblocks
- Work across organizational structures effectively, including the broader marketing team and channel partners, sales and operations, and lead by influence to drive effective collaboration, alignment and decision-making
- Apply journey-development strategies in partnership with Growth & Insights and Product & Segment teams to target the right message to the right person at the right time
Metrics & Targeting
- Understand account and market insights, and apply within campaign strategies
- Define ABM campaign metrics and analyze performance to monitor and optimize channel and tactical execution
- Track ABM performance of global programs and provide feedback to the business to optimize effectiveness of future campaigns
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Science, or Business; Masters preferred
- Minimum of 7 years of marketing experience required; 10+ years preferred
- A self-starter with a see it/own it/do it mentality who can independently lead ABM initiatives and with a team, be self-motivated and encourage the same in the team, be highly adaptable and flexible with an ability to change direction when needed and clearly communicate such change in a timely and visible fashion
- You will be a decisive, strategic planner, manage multiple tasks and deadlines, have excellent problem-solving skills, have strong business and process savvy, and thrive in ambiguity while inspiring team members and partners
- Additionally, you will have the ability to effectively interact with and relate to people at all levels; have an ability to move and influence a group (stakeholder buy-in), moving the team into a common direction and with a common vision
- Helping guide strategic key account channel strategy and vision
- You will have the ability to effectively develop campaign strategy and partner with a cross-functional team to execute and optimize integrated marketing campaigns
- Excellent internal and external customer service skills, attention to detail and ability to be persistent while maintaining tact
- Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritize and follow up on multiple projects
- Demonstrated teamwork, communication (written and verbal), and organizational skills
- Positive attitude and sense of urgency with a demonstrated leadership ability

Skill Requirements:
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams and work cross functionally in a highly matrixed environment
- Ability to manage stakeholder relationships
- Proven expertise in account based marketing strategy development and execution
- Specific expertise in marketing life science services highly desirable
- Strong understanding of the digital marketing technology landscape and best practices
- Working knowledge of marketing automation platforms and CRMs (i.e.. Salesforce, Eloqua, Workfront)
- Copywriting and editing skills strongly preferred
- Travel 5% of the time to support key internal and external activities
