Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Support the brewery in achieving its targeted KPIs in the maintenance and packaging department and ensure continuous improvement of production equipment;
  • Act as Technical Expert for similar major equipment on all production lines (e.g. all fillers, all labelers, all packers);
  • Responsible for maintaining and improving KPI's specific to the equipment for which he/she is the Technical Expert;
  • Organize and lead the management of anomaly reports on equipment failures;
  • Implement the root cause blocking strategy for equipment problems;
  • Reflect and implement the long-term equipment replacement/overhaul/obsolescence strategy;
  • Participate in CAPEX improvement projects and act as a consultant on the viability of these for the packaging department;
  • Lead a team of expert technicians and act as the 24-hour equipment and performance manager;
  • Responsible for the identification, development and succession planning of maintenance technicians;
  • Responsible for the coaching and development strategy for operators, technicians and managers on packaging equipment and machinery processes.

Job Qualifications

Skills required
  • University degree in engineering, operations management or other technical knowledge related field; A technical college diploma with relevant experience will be considered;
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in maintenance management, production equipment or in a technical intervention/troubleshooting role or in production equipment optimization;
  • Strong mechanical, analytical or troubleshooting skills;
  • Understanding of electrical and industrial mechanics;
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment;
  • Interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Thorough knowledge of MS Office suite: Word, Excel, Outlook & PowerPoint and strong computer skills and with a maintenance management system;
  • Bilingualism (frequent communication in French and English).
