The Role

Computer Operators at Kyndryl are key in helping revolutionize the way we operate complex computer systems. You will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology, supervise and control intricate networks and applications, and operate distributed systems in a multi-vendor environment.

As a Computer Operator you will be on the technical frontline - performing batch operations as per service agreements, analyzing first-level issues across systems, and resolving/routing issues as appropriate. You will also have the opportunity to develop support system management processes specific to customer requirements, ensuring that we provide the highest level of service to our customers.

Who You Are

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Mainframe Computer Operator to oversee the daily operations of our enterprise-level mainframe systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of mainframe environments, be capable of monitoring performance, and ensure the accuracy and timeliness of data processing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and control mainframe computer systems and related peripheral equipment.
  • Execute and manage batch processing jobs according to operational schedules.
  • Identify, diagnose, and resolve hardware, software, and processing issues.
  • Respond promptly to system alerts, errors, and abnormal conditions.
  • Coordinate with IT support teams for troubleshooting and escalation of technical problems.
  • Maintain detailed logs of system activity, job status, and operational incidents.
  • Perform data backups, restore operations, and routine system maintenance.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, security standards, and industry best practices.
  • Document procedures and updates for system operations manuals.
  • Provide on-call support as needed during off-hours or emergencies.

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Willingness to work in shifts, including nights, weekends, or holidays as required. Also required to be able to work in a hybrid environment in Hortolândia - SP.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.
  • Advanced / Fluent English writing and speaking
  • Previous experience in a mainframe operations or IT support environment.
  • Experience with TWS/OPC.
  • Familiarity with IBM z/OS, JCL, TSO/ISPF, or other mainframe operating systems/tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
